Location: Rubicon Trail in the Eldorado National Forest / Technique: HDR Gentlemen was nice enough to allow me to shoot his truck and offer my Bra’s & I sum beers. The famous “Rubicon Trail” starts at the base of Loon Lake off of Ice House Rd and can take You all the way up to Lake Tahoe. All types of vehicles (Mainly Jeeps) go 4 wheeling here because of the Large flat Granite rock face. And ofcourse an abundant amount of boulders to drive over makes it more fun!

An old root from a pine tree protrudes skyward on a hiking trail approx. 3 miles from a trailhead in Eldorado Canyon State Park just south of Boulder, Colorado. Our beautiful state park systems are still met with budget shortfalls and employee shortages due to lack of state funds. Most parks have to fend for their own livelihood just to stay afloat, depending almost entirely on the park visitors to keep the political machine well oiled. Get out and explore. Fight for parks. Enjoy & Protect.

Near the entrance to Eldorado Canyon State Park in Boulder County. This is an interesting location as it provides world class rock climbing walls, hiking trails, fishing, snow shoeing, cross country skiing opportunities to the enthusiast year around. No overnight camping is available in the park, however day use with picnic accessories are handy. Also a visitors center with a variety of books, cards, and stuffed animals can be purchased there. No food items are for sale.

Eldorado Canyon State Park is located south of Boulder and west of Colorado 93 where highway 170 ends in the village of Eldorado Springs. The state park provides rock climbers with the opportunity to climb a variety of world class climbing walls. This young woman managed to get over the obstacle in her path after fifteen tries. Lots of stamina here.
