I Loved this Ferris Wheel at the Brisbane EKKA. The contrast of the Red (my FAV colour) againt the wonderful Brisbane Blue sky. My Polariser filter helped keep the colours so beautifully vivd! This pic is is straight from the camera.(only resized)

Took some students to shoot the fireworks on Thursday night. We were practising defocusing on a long exposure. Inspired by the work of Minka we all decided it’d be worth a try. Unfortunately we weren’t in a good position to capture them as well as she did, but it’s a start. Hopefully Dylan will upload some of his….Dylan? :) Manual settings on the Canon 5D Mk II, 70-200mm at 200mm, f/4.5, 1.3”, ISO 50, tripod, defocusing as shot…. Tryptich of fireworks
