I found this old tractor seat in the paddock of a farmer at Martin’s Creek. What a glorious array of rusty items from yesterday – a real collector’s dream. Oh rusty, rusty tractor seat / what stories you could tell / about the days that have passed by / about the farmer and how he toiled in the paddock with his scythe. / With crude implements his day was long and tough / but he worked his farm until life said / “that’s enough” – “sit upon this tractor seat and take it easy for awhile”. / It was then his day did change and he began to smile! /

more from the river devonport tasmania..these guys are incredible.i’ve been prior to work, lunch time and after work and they are still in the water. the river doesn’t work that often so they are making the most of it. still a couple of days swell yet so i’m told.
