  to washington dc :):):) hehe gotcha! lol / i will be out of town for a week, heading up to washington dc, to shoot a friend’s wedding. then go check out the captial, then go hit the coast, then stay with a friend in WV, and then head back here. / after i get home, a week later on my birthday, im heading to texas to shoot a friend’s bed and breakfast he has just restored. he needs promotion shots for his place while a wedding is being held there (bummer im not shooting that wedding too..lol), but that will only be over the weekend. alittle leary about flying “gulps” / so i thought i would let you know why i am awol for this month. / im so excited about heading up to the captial, havent ever been there, wish i had more time to spend up there!! so im grabbing my camping gear, and taking off! / wish i could do stuff like this every month!! / so you guys, bear with me on catching up on checking out your work, please! ill be checking things out when i get home. i wont have interenet access while im gone. / if anyone has any ideas of what all to shoot along with the captial and such, please add your input.. and if you’re in the dc area, contact me bmail, and maybe we can hook up! / i LOVE october! :):) and you can bet i will be uploading all sorts of shots when i do get back! i sure will miss you guys!!

  It’s been a little while since I posted something, which no doubt left all of you wandering the streets dazed and confused, eyes red with tears while you scream loudly to the heavens proclaiming your loss of faith in mankind as a whole. No? What’s that? You say none of that happened? You didn’t even really notice? Well…now you’ve gone and hurt my feelings. THANKS FOR NOTHING FEELING McHURTY!! Anyway, first off a big thanks to TERILEE for her purchase of a card featuring my OCEAN OUTSIDE MY WINDOW art. Hope you like it. In “outside of the redbubble world news” I recently had a submission to zudacomics.com rejected. I might continue the story simply because it would bug the crap out of me to leave it hanging.   THE SHOW WAS GREAT!!!   So you may be thinking, what the heck is she talking about – Fill Opacity Eight – let me pass on this little bit of information that Deke McClelland passes on in his video Photoshop CS3 Channels & Masks: Advanced Techniques which you can find at LYNDA.COM There are eight over the top effects that react differently to FILL OPACITY, than they do to OPACITY. See, you’re wiser now aren’t you :) Those effects are: Colour Burn / Linear Burn / Colour Dodge / Linear Dodge / Vivid Light / Linear Light / Hard Mix / Difference Okay, so some may be asking – what is FILL OPACITY and what is OPACITY. I’ve added a demonstration image below, if it doesn’t show up, or is too big you can view the various sizes HERE Looking at the image above, you will see that OPACITY is marked in Red, and FILL is marked in Green. FILL is called FILL OPACITY in the Blending Options dialogue box as you will notice in the second larger image on the page. Open an image in Photoshop (doesn’t matter which version) and duplicate the image and add an effect – now change the blend mode to one of the above mentioned blending modes. Take the OPACITY slider and what usually happens is that you’ll get the same horrible effect that you do with some of the blend modes it just won’t be quite as horrible. Put your settings back to 100% and then try adjusting the FILL (OPACITY) slider ….... now that makes a difference doesn’t it! This is one of those fun things to try on your images from time to time – you might just be surprised by the outcome :-)
