The Island of Eigg always looks as if it is sitting on a cushion of mist! One of the Inner Hebrides, it is an island with a fiery past! The sunset was just starting in this shot!

This geological landmark is the largest exposed piece of pitchstone found in the UK. It can be found on the beautiful island of Eigg. An Sgurr means “the notch”.

The beaches between Mallaig and Arisaig are many and very beautiful with the colour of water you would usually see in the tropics … that wonderful shade of turquoise. This was taken from Traigh beach looking across the bay and the sound to a distant Eigg on the horizon – one of my favourite views in Scotland … but then I have so many … smile!
