The egret is going to a place of rest in the tree. Resting is good. It’s another way to rejuvenate the body and mind. A time when the body heals its hurts. A time to reflect. This is a compilation of the egret, and tree. The landscape, sky, sun and water were generated in Photoshop. The reflections of the tree and egret were created with a reverse image, and reduced opacity. I’m not quite sure if I got the egret reflection perspective right and would appreciated your comments. Part of my Egret Series. This is a compilation. The sunset was taken on 09-27-08 in Arizona. The egret was blended into the image along with the water (flood plugin) and the rock was created using the pen tool and shading. Fractalius was applied to both images prior to blending. Capture this snowy egret in Venice ,Florida I think he stood there for about 5 minutes scratching his head / canon 40D /
/ You’ve seen this egret before. The rest of the scene was computer generated. I used a new tool to me here called the Art History Brush Tool to create the misty look and clouds. The sun and sky were created from a gradient brush and I used blur to, ah, blur it. i created the land using the freeform pen tool and flood to create the water. The reflection of the egret was created from a duplicated layer of the bird and lower opacity. That’s about it. Hope you like! Capture this snowy white egret landing on Venice beach, Florida to go fishing. At one time, the beautiful plumes of the Snowy Egret were in great demand by market hunters as decorations for women’s hats.
