This intimate, bright yet dark, static yet flowing, autumn themed image was made in Baxter State Park, Maine, USA in October 2006. I like the contrast of the flowing water beneath the still branches, the pop of color from the remaining birch leaves, and the juxtaposition of the branch atop the stream in tone and color! /

Taken in the bush near Alice Springs. Waiting for the sun to come up and saw this dead tree and just had to take a shot with all the colours behind it.

The world is about to end because of global warming. Temperatures are soaring, ice is melting, glaciers are retreating, seas are rising, and we’re all going to fry. We’re all up to here with worry about it. The Royal Society says there’s no longer any room for scientific doubt about it. Britain’s Chief Scientist says it’s a bigger threat than global terrorism. / Every global warming sceptic is denounced as clinically insane. Every developed nation wags its finger at every other (well, ok then, at America) and tells it to Emit Less. Every politician and B-list celebrity now anxiously measures his or her carbon footprint. Every British schoolchild is now drilled to believe that man-made global warming is a Fact along with poverty and the existence of Belgium. It’s a wonder any of us has any incentive to get up in the morning. :) Online Galleries: / Surrealism art prints / 2d3d graphic design software / 3ds models max software

To give an indication of the sheer size and scale of this cloud mass, on the bottom right of this image there are some full-sized pine trees and that small white dot next to them is a huge lighthouse sitting on the end of an island. . . Digital Camera

Is it flying through space or peering through a macro lens? I can’t really explain what I feel about this one. It kind of creeps me out. But I really really love it, feel a part of it.

This composite, a matrix panoramic image I created using four of my photographs taken on Makena Beach Maui Hawai’i. © 2008 Sharon Anne Mau Gerald May writes in The Awakened Heart ~ “There is a secret set within each of our hearts. It often goes unnoticed, we rarely can put words to it, and yet it guides us throughout the days of our lives. This secret remains hidden for the most part in our deepest selves. It is the desire for life as it was meant to be. Isn’t there a life you have been searching for all your days? You may not always be aware of your search, and there are times when you seem to have abandoned looking altogether. But again and again it returns to us, this yearning that cries out for the life we prize. It is elusive, to be sure. It seems to come and go at will. Seasons may pass until it surfaces again. And though it seems to taunt us, and may at times cause us great pain, we know when it returns that it is priceless. For if we could recover this desire, unearth it from beneath all other distractions, and embrace it as our deepest treasure, we would discover the secret of our existence. You see, life comes to all of us as a mystery. We all share the same dilemma – we long for life and we’re not sure where to find it. We wonder if we ever do find it, can we make it last? The longing for life within us seems incongruent with the life we find around us. What is available seems at times close to what we want, but never quite a fit. Our days come to us as a riddle, and the answers aren’t handed out with our birth certificates. We must journey to find the life we prize. And the guide we have been given is the desire set deep within, the desire we often overlook or mistake for something else or even choose to ignore. The greatest human tragedy is to give up the search. Nothing is of greater importance than the life of our deep heart. To lose heart is to lose everything. And if we are to bring our hearts along in our life’s journey, we simply must not, we cannot, abandon this desire.”

Corel bought Paint Shop Pro two years ago. Now its called PSP Photo X2 I am bragging about. Like it better than PS. Its on sale for under $60.00 now. I just started playing with its HDR section. It offers an extra twist if you care to play.. This step outside the box of thought is of a scan from a color 35mm slide. I cleaned it up.. It was very old. Then I did a few things to make other images to merge into one threw HDR. I can see this software will provide me with many things to do. I daresay that no one has done it this way before. And just maybe no one will want too.. I spent a few hours putting this together. On dial up it will take some time to upload. Largest image saved from Tiff to Jpg I have ever done. I like the effect which makes me think of going from the 50’s into the world of color. I love to walk down a beach with bare feet. Feeling the water and sand and small bits of gravel rub my feet and that helps me relax.. Ok then you have the sound of waves and the feel of the breeze. Now add the flight of sea gulls taking off to begin the journey.. Please forgive the errors you find. Its the feeling and dreaming I am trying to convey.. I have the original color result and a few others that I merged for HDR..
