Taken in 2008, I have given this picture some ‘60s treatment using CS3 and Silver Efex Pro which simulates the characteristics of black and white film, and makes this sort of effect a breeze. My favourite film Kodak Tri-X, had a speed of 400 ASA (400 ISO in digital terms) but I used to rate it at 200 ASA (over exposing by 1 stop) to ensure clean highlights and help make a high contrast print in the darkroom. Prints for glossy magazine reproduction were best printed a little ‘hard’ meaning contrasty, as they lost it slightly in reproduction. This style of printing gave a classic edge to ‘60s black and white photography and it can still be seen today in books of that period.. As I made my ( transitional ) drive from my future back to my past today, I listened to the Alien sounds of the album Oxygene. / From the master himself, Jean Michel Jarre. It is a sound for Earthly ears, with a message from the cosmos, to me its about the search for a new home on another world by a race that as destroyed the one they were given.The search is long and time passes slowly, the new worlds must have the thing we as a species need “Oxygene” / So their search across space may go on for eternity, for they say ” you can never go home again”. / And even when you find that other world, it still is not “home”. So I suppose MY message is…........... ’ Think about what we as a race are doing to our home world, do we really want to have to travel the stars for all eternity, searching for something we already have?................think! I wanted to create an image of what their home world was like before its destruction.So I created this one and called it “Oxygene”

On “Gabross Zinda” the mono-track runs in a straight line around the whole planet. / Because when settled it was decided not to “clutter” the landscape with raillines,roads and highways. / So all the major cities are built on the meridian,and from there, one takes a hovercraft to whatever settlement they need to reach. It is called the “Red Line” after the deep vermillion pigment that is just below the surface, it is mercury sulfide (cinnabar). / After a time all things here turn red. This also happens to be the major trading commodity on this world in the Dune System. This was the introduction for the 2567 AA vid/movie ” Way Beyond Dune”

When *owlspook featured my image, I was asked did it have a name, so for owlspook….................. With the backdrop of the two moons of LaRaa, the Mother and her wayward child the strange oval satellite Geenas, we gaze on the “Sleeping Giant”. Located in the foothills of the Dark Mountains, legends say that a strange warlike being that walks upright on two legs will visit our world. When this occurs the giant will awake to do battle with these beings. But for now he lies sleeping in the foreground of the image, with his serpentine hair spread out above him. His name is Gorgonass, and he will rise…..........if you believe!

This year the meeting of the rulers of the worlds of the Amalgamated Galaxies takes place in the city of Setpoint on Andross Minor in the Primm Nebula. Security is top level, in fact all citizens have been told to stay inside while the delegates arrive. I am one of the lucky few journalist/photographers to get a pass. In this photo we view the arrival of the Stillarian Emperor in his Vixen Class Star-Rover “Freedom”. All ships have an escort supplied by the host planet. As we look at the scene before us, we see many lights in the sky. / And since man first walked upon this Earth, he as always wondered what they were, those lights in the night sky. / Has he became more aware through technological advances, he sort of understood what they could be. / And even to this day he still wonders, what hides in the great blue yonder. It draws us forever to explore the vast unseen, we know the substance of it, its there before our eyes. / But what do those lights in the sky really hide from our eyes. They hide the….... Situated on the landmass called Schriss, in the southern hemisphire of Galrond VI, this lake is composed of the purest liquid in the Andromeda Galaxy. / Every 25 years a team goes beyond the force field which surrounds it, they then take 10 samples of this pure essence. It is then taken to a secert labratory and added to non-disclosed ingredients, bottled and sold at a astronomical price on the open market. Two drops can cure any disease known, some rumours and myths say that one bottle can give immortality to the drinker. This is a very rare photo I got when I was part of a team, normally you go in wearing a tight fitting suit and nothing else. / But luckily I obtained one of the new state-of-the-art cameras developed from Borg technology. As everyone knows the basic components of the vertebrate eye are a transparent cornea, an adjustable iris, a lens for focusing, a sensitive retina lining the back of the eye, and a clear fluid- or jelly-filled center.This camera replaces the natural vertebrate, it sends its images to the biggest hard drive known, ...the human brain. / It is a complicated operation, but well worth the results, and of course highly illegal.

And it had to happen, here we have the planet Epsilon-Epsilon. The planet was purchased by one individual for the sole purpose of creating a work of art. The planet as thousands of cities and towns, all built as different architectual art forms, they are not populated, in fact there are no beings that live on the whole planet. / There is a reception center on the largest moon, the “tours” can take anywhere from 1 to 10 years to complete. The artist know as *Alienvisitor plans to purchase the entire solar system and all 13 of its planets, so one day the system itself will become the art form. A piece of what I have always called home.
