Shot this wonderful moray eel in the Maldives. They only look ferocious because they have to open their mouths to breathe. They’re lovely really!

Bonaire’s waters have a bunch of different eels, and it’s always a treat to spot one of them; this little beauty is the goldentail moray, Gymnothorax miliaris (Kaup, 1856). Canon S3-IS, Ikelite housing & strobe. Featured in Islands of the World group, April 2009, thanks so much!
This big Moray posed for the camara like an old pro. This was taken at Cirkewwa, on Malta’s north west coast.

This Cormorant dived into the water in the harbour at Blyth and surfaced with one sandeel in his mouth and another wrapped around his neck, which he also ate.
Not sure of the species, but wow, these guys sure catch your eye!
