Read my journal entry to understand my reason for posting this story as I have. I do know it’s not so great. Sorry. It is intended to be a lesson in how to trim a story to fit the word count. Please don’t comment yet on the half-baked story :-) just the aspects you think could be edited.

An exercise in editing / WanderingAuthor posted the original unedited version Sleeping Beauty – Draft 1 – 662 Words, see also WA’s Journal 1 and Journal 2 for more info I had a go at editing….tho slightly misunderstood & went for 250 word limit as if to fit into Star Twisters…....very over zealous! Was hard & I feel a lot of the lyrical quality of the tale has been lost…an interesting exercise!

by ArlettaConstructive criticism welcomed; but, do remember, it is only a wee part of the whole.
Rough draft story bit related to Ordine, still. Yes, I do realize what it sounds like. It’s supposed to. Release your preconceptions, misconceptions, and just take the journey. The facts are there, if you can open your mind.

The sigh, in the title, is because I love my job – really I do – but, I am morally opposed to many celebrations that the community must carry on with, so it is a bit of a conflict, wanting to do good work but not wanting to encourage activites to which I am morally opposed.
