During the Edinburgh Festival, a section of the High Street above and below the Fringe offices is blocked off to all motor traffic – it becomes a pedestrianised area for the weeks of the Festival. It’s always a lively area with stalls and street theatre and plenty going on. This year August is rainy, dreich, and dreary, but it hasn’t stopped the crowds from gathering in the Festival High Street.
