Photo Manipulation. 25 images have been used to create this piece. / 5 stock images have been taken from sxc.hu, the rest are my own. The most difficult thing to get right was the water coming out of the tap as that image had a black background so I had to work very hard to get the water to look realistic. A tree reflected in the Garden of Eden ~ Watarrka (Kings Canyon) National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. This is a spectacular water hole surrounded by unique palms in the middle of the parched “Red Center”. I’ve reduced it to black and white and then added some different toning to the shadows and highlights. / Canon G6.

A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip.While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home.That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy.They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river.The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

This was taken in the Eastern Sierra Mountains of California with a Nikon D300 with a Nikon 17-55 f2.8 lens. This is an HDR image, combining 5 exposures. Eve returns to Adam having eaten the forbidden fruit. / Acrylic on canvas. 38×36 in. this picture is a collaboration with fellow bubbler Jeff Schauss who painted a loose background on canvas so that i could then see what images would appear from the textures. neither of us had any pre-conceptions of what the image should be, letting the work develop into its own form was a breath of fresh air from my usual pre-planned assaults from sketches and notes. and so an image of eden emerged, in that critical interjunction between the fall of eve and the fall of adam, and the changing of humanity forever.

Actually, its a sculpture made from waste and its at The Eden Project! However, there is a lesson in it for all of us… that our waste will devour us all one day unless we learn to live more frugally. How to do this is something I don’t have all the answers to, but unless we all try together then our Garden of Eden will become a wasteland. I decided some Photoshop work would make the monster more frightening… hope I succeeded!

Every time I visit my mother, I come home with lots of beautiful flower photos, too many to choose just one, so I decided to put several together in this collage I’ve named, “Garden of Eden,” because that is exactly what Mama’s yard feels like! It’s a sight for the eyes and a soothing balm for the soul. The image of the cardinal sitting on the statue of Jesus is from my yard; there is a very old cardinal who loves to rest there. I think he’s got just the right idea. No better place to find peace!
