  • Paradise- is a Persian word that go to the other languages roots that is generally identified with the Garden of Eden or with Heaven. Originally meaning a walled garden or royal hunting grounds, the term entered Jewish (and eventually Christian) beliefs as a Greek translation for the Garden of Eden in the Septuagint. It is sometimes also identified with the bosom of Abraham, the abode of the righteous dead awaiting Judgment Day. In the Gospel of Luke, Jesus tells a penitent criminal crucified alongside him that they will be together in paradise that day. Painting using acrylics, inks and pigment

  • The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, Canada, is one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. Jennie Butchart began to shape this magnificent landscape in 1904. She established, in the style of the grand estates of the period, several distinct gardens to evoke a range of aesthetic experiences. An abandoned limestone quarry was transformed into the dramatic Sunken Garden. More from Butchart Gardens:

  • Acrylic on 16×20 canvas, sealed with a satin varnish / Inspired by a photo by photographer: Darla Teagarden This painting came together so smoothly for me. Sometimes I struggle with the colors and the concept. Although it may have helped to have a reference photo. Usually I just go off an idea that’s in my brain, and when it doesn’t come out exactly how I imagined it, I get frustrated. But, I don’t stop until it’s the way I want it to be ♥ Redbubble Featured Art – May 2009 Featured in Color Me a Rainbow (pink) – June 2009

  • Lillith is said to be the primal first woman, created prior to Eve, as Adams first wife in some of the Judeo-Christian versions. She refused to lie beneath Adam and claimed herself and her sexuality as sovereign, finding pleasure with nature spirits in the desert. She is said to have returned, recorded as the ‘snake’, to give Eve the apple. Some say she represents the base chakra and guards the bottom of the Tree of Life to challenge you to face your fears and ego before seeking higher truths. I see her as inviting, almost daring, us to be literally shame-less in our bodies and fearless in our integrity. Goddess to Pagan traditions and a Demon to others – Lillith is a powerful feminine associated with wild, untamable nature, from storms to sexual dreams. Oil on Canvas, 60×80 cm (original sold) Featured in ‘Divine Feminine’ and ‘Fine Art of the Female Form’.

  • Shot at the Eden project in the County of Cornwall, England. / Shot with a Nikon d300 and 18-70mm lens /

  • This is a marked change to my normal work. I started my creative life as an artist, painting in oils. I tended to work on large canvasses. In much of my digital art I have been conscious of creating the ‘big scenes’, so this one is such a pleasing change for me. I have to say that I am excited about this change of style. RedBubble is simply inspirational! I really hope that you will like it. Thank you for viewing, and an especailly thank you for comments and (hopefully) faves! / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / ! / MCN :: CL1LL-CNGDW-9DKHL / -—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-— / This was created totally in CS4. With all those little apples, stalks and snakes to be added,it amounted to over 100 layers! I am so grateful to the following artists for their generous use of stock… / Background / Tree / Eve / Apple / Snakes I have chosen John Lennon singing ‘Woman”. It is beautiful song, which he dedicated to all women everywhere.
