The Butchart Gardens in Brentwood Bay on Vancouver Island, Canada, is one of the world’s premier floral show gardens. Jennie Butchart began to shape this magnificent landscape in 1904. She established, in the style of the grand estates of the period, several distinct gardens to evoke a range of aesthetic experiences. Paradise- is a Persian word that go to the other languages roots that is generally identified with the Garden of Eden or with Heaven. Originally meaning a walled garden or royal hunting grounds, the term entered Jewish (and eventually Christian) beliefs as a Greek translation for the Garden of Eden in the Septuagint. It is sometimes also identified with the bosom of Abraham, the abode of the righteous dead awaiting Judgment Day. Another shot of the same Japanese maple tree as in Eden I at the Portland Oregon Japanese Gardens, except this one was shot exactly one week after. It is amazing how fast seasons can change :) As is.

Photo Manipulation. 25 images have been used to create this piece. / 5 stock images have been taken from sxc.hu, the rest are my own. The most difficult thing to get right was the water coming out of the tap as that image had a black background so I had to work very hard to get the water to look realistic. A photo of St-Simeon’s pier, the most beautiful place I saw when I went for my little 3 days trip.While taking this shot ,a nice couple on a moto talked to me ,I ask for a little auberge to sleep for the night and they decided to invite me to their home.That’s Quebec,I would have done the same but it was a first for me…couldn’t believe it.I sent some photos by email and they were very happy.They are living at five minutes from there in a beautiful place called La Malbaie near the St-Lawrence river.The same day in the afternoon I took «Pointe-au-Père» and in the evening the sky became lavander blue,a real dream. / / /

A tree reflected in the Garden of Eden ~ Watarrka (Kings Canyon) National Park, Northern Territory, Australia. This is a spectacular water hole surrounded by unique palms in the middle of the parched “Red Center”. I’ve reduced it to black and white and then added some different toning to the shadows and highlights. / Canon G6.
