Sometimes I collect things (from years gone by) and then look back to clip and cut & regroup them into something new and innovative. This ‘still life’ collage has some futuristic tones with a mix of sensual dreams “for me”. I hope it offers some allure to you and/or FOR SOMEONE who you feel might also identify.

MX’s, Mitsubishis, Motorolas, Gatecrashers, Safe Sex’s, Domes, Doves, Clovers, Barcardi’s, the list goes on and on. Pink, blue, white, green, yellow, all of the colours of the rainbow plus more…..this is the heart of the TV series Under Belly. This shot was taken 4 or 5 years ago when I was shooting raves, of course this came with the territory of raves. They are real, it was a collection of “best pills”. A guy kept 2 of his favourite pills and I shot them just for the hell of it!

We had a lot of fun with this. The model had to flick her hair and then I had to capture it. Unfortunately the pair of us had had big nights out the night before and felt pretty queasy. The constant motion did not make Lauren feel too good and we had to stop because she thought she was going to be ill. Yep I like to treat my models well…

Walking through the tree lined mall of Central Park in NYC I spotted this boy and his dad about 40 meters ahead of me. I quickly knelt down and pre-focused on a spot in front of me. I hastily adjusted the settings on the camera with the result the lens was wide open giving me a narrow depth of field. I kept both eyes open to focus and compose simultaneously. Try it sometime, it’s a fun exercise. Interestingly, neither the boy or the dad paid the slightest attention to me. The camera was the Hasselblad 500C w/150mm Sonnar lens and a No.8 Yellow filter attached. The settings were f4 1/125th of a sec using Kodak's Tri-x film rated ISO-400 and developed in Kodak’s D76 (1:1).
