  • I saw the reflection of that “prisoned” tree in the window, while I was enjoying a mountain climb here in Macedonia, a moment before i could see it free. It gave me a thought of what are we doing to our mother nature and couldn’t resist to pull the shutter of my camera as a modest contribution to a free green planet.

I have just created my first Red Bubble calendar. It features some of the best images I have produced this year including dragonflies, butterflies and other natural things. It is designed to soothe the soul and lift the spirits; take a look; I think you’ll like it.

  • Camels, like cows, pigs, goats, dogs, buffalos, are all over the roads and streets of Rajasthan. The camel is an important animal component of the fragile desert eco-system. With its unique bio-physiological characteristics, the camel has become an icon of adaptation to challenging ways of living in arid and semi-arid regions. The camel is indispensable as a mode of transportation, and has played a significant role in civil law and order, defense and battles from the ancient times till date.

  • / CHUNKIE Calendar Series One now available / / Chunkies are a new series of figurines I am working on .. / / CHUNKIE Birthday Fairy / / CHUNKIE Owl / / CHUNKIE Lotus Love on Golden Pond / / CHUNKIE Mermaid / / CHUNKIE Sunshine / / CHUNKIE / Elephant / / CHUNKY Diver / / CHUNKY Indian / / CHUNKIE Surfer / / CHUNKIE Ballerina / / CHUNKIE Geisha / / CHUNKIES in love / / CHUNKIE Hula girl / / CHUNKIE China / / CHUNKIE Lollipop Lover / / CHUNKIE Forest / / CHUNKIE Party / / CHUNKIE Pirate / / CHUNKIE Mod Girl / / CHUNKIE Tooth Fairy / / CHUNKIE Mother and Child / / CHUNKIE Wedding Next in line is CHUNKIE Forest…Forest is an eco warrior and friendly angel who lives deep in the heart of the forest, she cares deeply for the environment, here she is ready and waiting for any who may stumble near….waiting with a cup of fairtrade tea and offering peace and friendship to all….she is here to remind us of how we must take care with our natural environment for the creatures, the wilderness and the future of our children… Hand crafted from plasticine, her little outfit is made from dried out teabags which were fashioned into a hat and dress….behind her is a background of pandanus dried leaves i picked up near the beach and an assortment of dried leaves and twigs i collected over time, as well, the foreground is made from a beautiful piece of paperbark supplied to me by my father in law who is in his 80’s…who lovingly found and gave it to me, knowing that i collect special things like this…this is the first time i’ve been able to use it….thank you Grandad! The butterfly and birds were taken from my painting “Thoughts and Things” and the white flower is an old plastic earring….the teapot was given to me by my father who knows I collect tiny silver things like this…..from an op shop somewhere, thank you dad! The table is a cork! Once the Chunkies are created and photographed, I usually dismantle them to be used in the creation of more chunkies, so I am recycling the plasticine. These Chunkies have been very therapeutic to create over the holidays, whilst taking a break from red bubble and having my family around. I have many more to come, and although I won’t be on RB as much, I hope to also be doing some serious painting this year…so i look forward 2009 with much anticipation …

  • Blossom’s_Photo_Gallery Dismal Swamp Tarkine Forest Adventures (formerly Dismal Swamp), North-West Tasmania. For a bit of fun, we took the 110m long ride on the Tarkine Slide – A 110m long tube that takes you to the forest floor in a blink of an eye, with a few twists and turns along the way. At the bottom of a closed basin, the four boardwalks on the swamp floor make it easy to get to know life in a swamp without getting your feet wet. Decaying logs provide a nursery for baby blackwood trees and tiny creatures like burrowing crayfish play a powerful role in survival of the eco-system. Dismal’s name belies the beauty and natural presence that saved it from the fate of nearby swamps, long ago cleared and drained for farmland. • You’ve seen the film, you’ve read the book, you’ve bought the T-shirt & now you can buy the artwork too. / Yes its inspired by the film ‘End of The Line’ The message is simple enough, our Oceans will contain nothing more than Ghosts if we continue to ignore the obvious. We need to change; we need to look at what we’re doing to the global fish stocks & work out a better way to manage & sustain the resources available to us. / Also available as a T-shirt. / Like the sale sign says, when they’re gone, they’re gone!!!!! / /

  • This design replaces ‘Fish Stocks’ due to the interest ‘Ghosts’ has recieved. I didn’t expect ‘Ghosts’ would generate a lot of interest to be honest, but then what do I know about art. / So now there’s two options available, you can have ‘Ghosts’ as wall art or you you can have the T-shirt or maybe even both. / Next time you go out for a meal or to the supermarket & fish is on the menu; remember to order only sustainable fish. / Ps, not all the colour options work but its your choice. / 11/06/09

  • Etty Bay, like many of the beaches in sub tropical and tropical areas is a mangrove beach, with mangroves lining it around the areas left wilderness, you can see in this shot how the tide is coming in, it comes up the beach quite far until it hits the mangroves at the back corner. The eco-systems of Mangroves are fascinating stuff and you can read up more on the mangrove systems of Far Nth Queensland beaches at the Wet Tropics site HERE FEATURED in Far Nth Queensland group My Bubblesite / My Blog / My Zazzle Shop Some Favourites of the Moment

  • Show your support for the environment without looking like a complete tree-hugger, with our awesome recycling shirt!

  • Digital art inspired by natural wonders in life! :) FEATURED in the “Fishlike” group!

  • 2nd in the “Organic” series of 3 works total. Digital art inspired by nature, life, living and beauty created by my God. BEST VIEWED LARGE. :) This series would look great all hung together in a grouping.

  • An experiment with altering a favorite acrylic painting into a tee design. / The title alludes to all the conspiracy theories out there about 2012 and global warming ect. Is it global warming? Solar flares? No food? No water? Is the ‘end’ on the auspicious time and date of noon 12-12-2012? / My simplistic personal belief is that human life on earth has been hellish from the start of civilization and it’s most likely to continue that way for most humans well into the future. ; – ))) / Have a nice day!... and yes I did crawl into the late night hours to come up with all the nightmarish conceptualizations herein implied. ; – 0
