Paris has to be my favourite city for people watching, there are so many styles, fashions and personalities found on the many streets of Paris, it was a joy to wander around and take it all in. I found this gentleman enjoying a baguette on the sidewalk (pavement or footpath depending on where you are from). Something about him really captured my interested so I fired of a few shots. When I got back, something was missing from the original scene and I wasn’t sure exactly what so I’ve played around extensively with layers to build up the affect you see, some doding and burning, motion blur and playing with the curves and levels. Overall I’m very happy with the end result which I think adds something the original was missing.

Playing around with long exposure and painting with light. Exposure time – 25 seconds. A lot of fun – then I ate the subject matter!!!

Al Fresco Cats / Acrylic on canvas / Size: 505mm x 405mm I’m combining three of the loves of my life here – cats, gardens and food. / These two cats resemble a couple of cats I had as a child, Skittle (black and white) and Victor (marmalade). They are just deciding what to eat first, perhaps the cheese…as / there seems no meat available.

I had taken a series of shots of this restaurant one day while waiting for my order to be served. I remember the light felt so good, and the food was so fantastic. The waitress was so cute and darling as well. China King, take out food. Cape Coral , Florida

I set my camera on interval timing, and shot a lot of photos until I captured a drip in motion. Added textures (mine) and vignetting in PS CS3. Featured in Mood and Ambience, Still Life and Food Photography, and the Grunge Art Gallery—thank you very much! :)
