This t-shirt is another in my line of cards, prints, and clothing geared towards bringing increased awareness to the plight faced by the world’s flora and fauna. this t-shirt, based upon my series of frog, toad, and salamander photographs, depicts the green treefrog, common or Eastern toad, and spotted salamander. They have all been treated with a watercolor filter in photoshop for added depth and detail. The quote on the bottom of the shirt reads: “In the end we will conserve only what we love, we will love only what we understand, and we will understand only what we are taught.” ~Baba Dioum, Senegalese ecologist. Because without these animals I would never be able to bring their beauty to you, I am going to pledge to donate 100% of all of my sales proceeds from cards and prints of the imagery in this series here on Redbubble to Wildlife Conservation Society

I have her on a black tshirt under the name ‘Little Kimino Blue’ but she isn’t actually wearing a kimono, although she wears an obi…...Asia Blue is wearing a mixed costume, half chinese half japanese…...so I will just call her ‘Asia Blue’ for ease ….as there has been quite a bit of confusion over this :) I wanted to have ‘Asia Blue’ on other coloured tshirts, as well as the black, so here she is, more coming soon !

The traditional classic chinese word “ai” (love) consist of the word “xing” (heart) at its core. “Ai Xing” in mandarin means “loving heart”. I have simply highlighted the core word “xing” in red to show the meaning of loving heart. “While some simplified characters were adopted from conventional abbreviated forms that have existed for a long time, the vast majority of the changes made by PRC were “unnatural” such as the removal of the symbol for heart (心) from the word love (愛) into the new character (爱).” (Wikipedia) This word is hand-written by me (using a wacom pen & tablet). This t-shirt design is currently only available from RB. All profits from the sale of this t-shirt will go towards these 3 non-profit organisations which I have been supporting: I am currently sponsoring a little girl from India so the money collected from the sale of this tee will go towards this fund or other non-profit organisations which I support.
