  id like to wish everyone a very peaceful and wonderful day on this colorful holiday my morning started off with a brush fire at 6am. just what i wanted to do right after awaking, climb up a mountain side fighting a fire with a rake! / something tho..really got to me / when 1 of the guys was saying…he had to be home by a certain time to go to church. i had to stop for a minute and i told him..”dude..you’re saving God’s creation, that is far more important then showing up to a building for appearences” this really got to me. here we are on a day where many christians and other faiths are celebrating, all dressed up, going to a building!! / instead of realizing what is really happening to God’s creation, steadily being torn down, and polluted, and destroyed daily / so…i have a favor to ask of anyone still celebrating and planning on celebrating go outside, look around at everything… the trees, the flowers starting to bloom, the birds singing, the waters flowing, realize that THIS is God’s work / not that building you just dressed up to go to, or left. This planet was loaned to everyone of us, providing us with everything we need to survive, it isnt in that building where people go to proclaim their love for God. / You want to show your love for God, do your part to save his Creation i dont mean to upset anyone with this easter greeting, but my buddy worrying more about going to a building to show his love for God, instead of saving God’s creation, really got to me.

Her most recent Redbubble cause is the Fred Hollows Foundation, and with the help of many other bubblers, this new calendar is the result. The price is ONLY $22, which means YOU are able to get yourself a quality calendar, with amazingly funny and interesting images, and the Fred Hollows Foundation gets $10 for every one that’s sold. We’ve managed to gain some sponsors, who will be contributing until the end of 2008, or until 100 calendars are sold!! All of the artists and models have given freely of their time and expertise to bring this awesome calendar to fruition, its a collaboration to beat all collaborations! Team work is what made it happen, and the results are a fantastic calendar and some lasting friendships. Tomorrow there will be a full moon on Good Friday ! “EOSTRE” was Goddess of Spring and it is from her festival that we got the name of Easter !!! Thought you wanted to know, if you had wondered about it… / In Sweden we light big bonfires late on the Easter Saturday and there is a lot of firecracking going on to frighten the witches off. / Enjoy the holy days, everyone !!!

  Hello to the redbubble community, wherever you are! I’ve only been ‘addicted’ to this new vice a little over a week – and already I’ve had to amend my computer directory structure to keep track of which images have been uploaded where. My flickr account images measure 1500×1000, whereas I realise that redbubble images need to stay at FULL size – which in my case measure 3888×2952. Fortunately I’d taken Easter on Kangaroo Island (a deceptively large island off the South West side of the Eyre Peninsula, across from Adelaide) where I’d shot an incredible amount of photographs (estimated at 2,500 based on “continuous count” function of Canon EOS 400D) These would have to be my favourite three images from my Easter Collection … which totals over 100 images uploaded! , , Feel free to peruse, enjoy AND PURCHASE my photographic art. I have a lot of work to go through – and upload. Thank the internet for unlimited broadband!

  We have had a fantastic weekend with my new in-laws and told them about the engagement and I was warmly welcomed into the fold!!! How excellent is that?!!!! / There were kids and dogs and house renovations and talking and food [my mother-in-law is an excellent cook so are her daughters shhh don’t tell them lol] and bikes and trampolines and balls and laughter and eventually chocolate! / And we acquired a new puppy “Gypsie” a black and white [merle-ish] Kelpie/Boarder Collie cross girl 8 weeks old and just the biggest talker!!! lol / We hope to finish the film, get it processed then scan the prints in to then learn how to add pictures so you lot can see her! :o) yep the old fashioned way! lol :o) / But on the whole we had the most brilliant Easter weekend! / I hope you have had as good a break as we have. / Keep Happy! :o) / Luv – alyssa & Mick [& Dougal + Gypsie! lol :o) ] / xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxox

  I just wanted to pop in and say sorry for being so quiet lately. I had two of my Brothers over for Easter and they only left tonight … so I have been spending time with them. Also … I will write an update on Jordy tomorrow (hopefully) so that everyone who has formed the bond with him will be up to speed. Also … I wanted to thank everyone who has bought my work so far … the money from which is going to be going towards Jordy’s Operation. I am totally indebted to you all … and so is Jordy. We both appreciate the love so much!!!

  Hello everyone! I just popped into the Bubbles to wish you all a happy Easter. I wish you all to have lots of fun, happiness, laughter, chocolate, boiled eggs (with soldiers/toast), hot cross buns, and anything else that the Easter Bilby and Bunny (they work together these days) bring you to remind you of this important occasion. My son is home this weekend (yay!! exciting cos he’s only home every 2nd Easter) and he’s in for a treat! We had chocolate hot cross buns for breakfast today (nice, but I prefer the real ones) and on Sunday we’ll be colouring eggs! We use textas and paint to decorate our eggs. I’ll have to remember to take photos before everyone digs in to eat them! Of course we’ll have an egg hunt as well… we always do, even if my son’s not home! It’s more fun when he is though. At least the weather’s cooled down from 40C! We always manage to leave a couple in the garden for the ants and I’m sure they prefer to eat unmelted chocolate! No foil is left behind either… I’ve found these cool eggs that look like real eggs!! Anyway… I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. Happy Easter ;D
