A re-work of previously posted image. I love the work of Helene Kippert and PepperPepper – they both put a wonderful organic feel into their work. So here, in my own way, I’ve hoped to give this image a new life. / Thank H & P for your inspiration :)

Someday… on a clear, still, moonlit night; / To the beach, is where we’ll go. / With a blanket and hot chocolate already packed; / Walk, hand in hand, on soft, warm sand; / Down to the water’s edge, where we’ll dance awhile; / Oh, to hold you close and whisper in your ear; / Those three words you’ve longed to hear. / Brush aside the hair which hides your face; / See a smile grow and laughter kiss your lips; / Then sit with you ‘til dawn‘s early light; / Your hand in my left, hot chocolate in my right. / Precious moments, dreams and memories; / Someday… with you, I want to share.

Nature abstract painting. This weekend I was out in the Hajar Mountains , it is about an hour and half drive from Dubai city . here is what i call magic of nature , to me this is just God being an artist , we all can learn something from That. / these Mountains have many layers as you can see , millions of years old , and each layer only about 6 cm deep. Simply amazing what i Personally learn from Nature.it does not get better than this for me . / I kept the colors the textures the same as they are no playing around with Photoshop here.

I love the quirky expressions that some animals can come up with. This guy was sitting on my clothesline one day so I just had to draw him. The original is coloured pencil and ink on board. I carved the background pattern out of lino myself, but credit must be given to Rhonna Farrer for the use of her stamps in the foreground. I am having an exhibition in August 2008, where the original Kookaburra and around another (planned) 20 pieces will be available, and limited edition prints will be available after then. For now, it’s just little greeting cards. I hope you like them, and please stay tuned for more!

I wish to rise from ruins. / Gather broken pieces, / Shards and shreds long cast off as useless / And create one form worth standing for. / I will rise from rubble / For one great stand / One grand shine. In my true essence / I wish to rise unscathed by imagery and voices / That encourage the lying down of hope. / . / . / . / This print is offered on Sundrip.com. ...These most recent pieces (my best work yet) reflect how I choose to view myself, life and everything it ‘that is’...!! I would describe life in the same way I do myself…. a mess… but a BEAUTIFUL one!!! ...These latest pieces would not have been brought to life without the inspiration of my BEST friend. She not only inspired this latest work but the title for this piece too! =)

She is an amazing Free spirited earthy Dancer, she danced on the sounds of drums in Harmony . —-—-—-—-—- The talented Sally Omar / got inspired by This work and wrote this Magical Poem to go with this Image , Love working together Thank you my friend. —-—-—-—-— The Dance Walking through the forest when no one is around / There is a place that gypsy dancers can be found / They are the spirits of gypsies who have already died / Their bodies were buried and in this area where they lie / Dancing is spiritual and must be done each day / The scarves they carry are in a bright array / With varying shades of white, red and blue / They are not ordinary colors they cast a different hue / I saw them swirling their scarves up in the air / They danced to the music as they chanted with great care / Their bodies in total synch as if done so many times before / I stood there for awhile and wanted to see more / Their dance was so intense and I couldn’t believe their pace / That’s when I noticed that each girl had the same face / It appeared they shared a body three girls wrapped all in one / I slowly walked away in the glistening sun / I was one of the fortunate few who had the chance / To go through this forest and see THE DANCE.

36” x 24” Oils on Canvas. well, after weeks of work I feel it is finally ready. I still think the blindfold is a little static but it is as ready as it’s going to be. in a way, the precision of the blindfold contrasts with the chaos and looseness of the figure. I wanted to capture movement and an element of fear. those who have seen it in person (before this stage) have all said that they don’t know if she jumped or was pushed but that it is free and frightening all at the same time. this is a compliment! I am happy with her motion and the looseness of the brushstrokes. I am probably as happy as I am going to be with the blindfold (knowing that I will never truly be satisfied there!) I think the impact of this series when brought together will be quite something..

A silhouette of a native Australian ‘black boy’ (Xanthorrhoea Quadrangulata) at Mount Barker Summit. The Black Boy is for me quite an iconic Australian Native. I have used earthy tones in the background to compliment it, and as a representation of some of the wonderful vibrant earthy colours of OZ.

This orange Gerber daisy on an orange/white background reminds me of Halloween, pumpkins, football season and homecoming corsages, and the bright colors of fall foliage.

Section of a carved lino block which I’ve scanned in and digitally coloured. The full lino image is being used for “traditional” lino prints. This is part of a series of “Africa Calling” prints, based on my memories, yearnings and love of the country where I was born, and which will always claim part of my soul.
