One of my first autobiographical pieces. My childhood seed / has finally bloomed / amid the tangled brambles of a forest / confused / by distorted shadows / and I struggle to push back / this oppressive canopy. / Here I stand on the banks / of a world that was once so beautiful. / In this frenzy of growing up / I had almost forgotten the untroubled sleep / of innocent dreams / and those moments laced with magic / only children are divine enough to recognize. / For a moment / I can only stand in the silence / and breathe the fragrant bliss / of absolute stillness. / For a moment / I know that the world I remember / was never really as magical / as wonderful / as I had once believed. / It was only the projection of naïveté / and make believe / but there / upon the horizon / I saw such a world / so far beyond my reach. / The burdens of age were forgotten / and fell away / and, for a moment / I was a child / again. Ge 1:14: ¶ And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: / Ge 1:15: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. / Ge 1:16: And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. / Ge 1:17: And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, / Ge 1:18: And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. / Ge 1:19: And the evening and the morning were the fourth day. / _____ Job 26:7: He stretcheth out the north over the empty place, and hangeth the earth upon nothing. / _____ Ps 33:6: By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth. / Ps 33:7: He gathereth the waters of the sea together as an heap: he layeth up the depth in storehouses. / Ps 33:8: Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. / Ps 33:9: For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast. / ____ I used a drawing of the Earth and overlays of images created with Apophysis Fractal Art program. ASTEROID / OIL / $500 US (ORIGINAL (8” X 10”) / SIGNED DEDICATED PRINTS AVAILABLE How far can I see? Are there boundaries and limits to dreams? Last night I traveled to a distant place so far away there yet remains no maps or charts for these territories. My travels were filled with awe and amazement at the new vistas I encountered. Planets, stars and asteroids of indescribable beauty and form presented themselves for my perusal and enjoyment. As morning broke I arrived back from where I started lying in my bed grasping to remember the wonders I beheld the night before. How can I reveal what marvels I surveyed with common ordinary paint and canvas? I know I will fall short of my desired goal of relating this experience but I must try. It is what I do. I am an artist. And artists paint. So I paint this small, modest and lesser account of what I chanced upon last night. I know that my attempt lacks the expanse and profundity of my experience but I still must try. So forgive my inept abilities to present my encounter in the way I wish I could. But if you are what do and you don’t then your not. I have tried to live by this little aphorism. It has served me well. So, here I go again trying to be and do what I think I must. Just a simple artist who pushes oil paint upon a canvas striving to be a little bit better one canvas at a time. visionary imagist “Joey”

STAR SHINE / OIL / $1500 US (ORIGINAL OIL 18” X 24”) / SIGNED DEDICATED PRINTS AVAILABLE / / We are star stuff. We bathe in sunlight and in moonbeams. In the intense heat and pressure of a billion stars proceeds the essence of life. Without such immense power all life would cease. How intricate is this cosmos. How wonderful is it’s complexity. How magnificent it is to know, to have consciousness, to perceive the wonders of it all. To be sentient beings traveling on this small blue life-filled orb, witnessing the grandeur of a Higher Power’s love for us. The bounty of a God’s love is infinite and timeless and given freely to all. visionary imagist “joey”

The original title of this, was Ten Miles High – which is probably as close to space as I will ever get. It is the sunlight reflected off the icepack somewhere near the Labrador coast, and was taken when everyone else on the airplane seemed to be asleep. In the picture, though RB possibly will not be able to show it large enough, just left of centre, are a number of lightning bolts. Now, Ive seen lightning from the ground many a time, and it is, for me, a humbling and spine tingling feeling to watch natures might unleash itself on the world. I feel so very insignificant when I realise that there, very small, is something I am in awe of. Every time I look at this, I ask myself, am I worthy? Why am I here? What is my purpose in life? I am not religious, but more spiritual, and tend to take the best from different belief systems in order to live my life as well as I can. So, no view such as this should be denied the world, or kept to myself, or lost. Please take the time to view it large, and to study it in every detail – take from it what you will, and interpret it for yourself. I would love to hear how you, the viewers, feel about this image. Thankyou again for viewing over the past 12 months

GAIA’S FIRST BREATH / OIL / $500 US (ORIGINAL 8” X 10”) / SIGNED DEDICATED PRINTS AVAILABLE When the earth was still very young and had not yet taken it’s first breath. The smallest of creatures where busy at work living and shaping a new world. And through the wisdom of the Great Architect they began to fashion new and magical ingredients that would be elemental for Gaia’s growth. Then one magical, long forgotten morning mother Gaia took her first breath. It was deep and refreshing and essential for all of Gaia’s children that would be born, those many, many years ago and even for those children that are born now. Every bird that sings, every cricket that chirps and every child that laughs owes that ability to Gaia and her breathing. The genius of the Creator is such that we hardly ever notice how wonderful and essential Gaia’s breath really is. It is only when it becomes hard for us to breathe that we become aware of the danger of Gaia’s ruin. Let us strive to protect our Mother Gaia. After all she is our Mother, the great Mother of all nature, the only one we have. After She’s gone, will be gone too. We are united together to Her by Her first breath those many, many eons ago. visionary imagist “Joey”
