My heart beats to what rhythm? I ask, and where? / It’s the same at all pulse points, like sounds of a snare; Yet, I have no drumsticks or pedals, it seems / as if nature has a part, in this beating scheme; I will venture outside to investigate closer / connections to this pounding, and its composer; I look to the sky, not the same rhythm there, / then look to the ground, and kneel as in prayer; The beat’s getting stronger, so I lay down to rest, / the bass beating deeper, like out of my chest; Caressing the Earth, soon the rhythm entwines / it comes from this planet – a harmony divine; Convinced of the bond, between earth and sky, / I look up again, as Spirit Eagle flies by; With drum made of elk hide, with my own hand, / I begin beating rhythm, for Mother Nature’s band; I asked and pursued answers, until I believed / I deserved confirmation, so musically received; I’ll become ‘her’ drum major and advocate peace, / so the beat goes on further than my nephews and niece. WindOwl 2007 Earth Drum Ten Billion BEATS is asking for your drumming heart to participate in a plan to circle the Earth with a resounding rhythm of unity for all peoples, all faiths, all nations and all hopes and dreams. By joining in celebration with others, we will send a wave of focused intent through every time zone around the globe. Friday, September 18, 2009 at 7pm for one hour of drumming about 4 beats per second, which corresponds with Theta range of human brain activity. The INTENTION: Focus on non-doctrinaire, non-political, non-religious intention. As we all drum we will hold this thought sending it around the planet and beyond on a not so silent pulse. In response to blamo’s (Tone) lighting a single red candle at midnight for Peace, this is my contribution… In 1863, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow wrote these words: I heard the bells on Christmas Day / Their old familiar carols play / And mild and sweet the words repeat, / Of peace on earth, good will to men. I thought how as the day had come, / The bellfries of all Christendom / Had roll’d along th’ unbroken song / Of peace on earth, good will to men. And in despair I bow’d my head: / “There is no peace on earth”, I said, / “For hate is strong, and mocks the song / Of peace on earth, good will to men.” Then pealed the bells more loud and deep: / “God is not dead, nor doth he sleep; / The wrong shall fail, the right prevail, / With peace on earth, good will to men.” ‘Til ringing, singing on its way, / The world revolved from night to day, / A voice, a chime, a chant sublime, / Of peace on earth, good will to men! As I walk this Native American path of the “Good Red Road” / I awaken to say good morning to Grandfather Sun, in ode; Gratitudes spoken to the four directions and All Our Relations / Father Sky and Mother Earth, not leaving out any Creations; I raise the pipe high, letting smoke rise to the Spirit, so great / asking for peace and abundance in messages to generate; Towards the “Blue Road to Spirit”, my soul flies high to seek / For my sisters and brothers to thrive whether strong or weak; As Grandmother Moon rises, again I will drum, dance and sing / Until the ways of our ancestors’ prayers are brought upon wings; Proud to be related to the clawed, finned, crawling and standing / my voice will be heard in the stars of great truth and understanding. The Green Man is an ancient pagan symbol of our relationship to the plant kingdom. Men become tree-like, and the Green Man sports plants and leaves and boughs growing from his mouth or beard or his hair. / In the Green Man we have an archetype for our relationship to both the cosmos and the Earth – to Father Sky and Mother Earth. Plants are born from and connect the two. Plants are, like us, cosmic beings; they guarantee that the sun’s generous efforts to pour its energy over the earth are not in vain. The Sun finds ready receptivity in the plants. / Interestingly, the archetype of the Green Man also respects silence and introspection, which are common traits among farmers and indigenous peoples, those who remain close to the land. The Green Man honors for us how rich and deep the roots of nature are, telling us that we need to germinate under the soil, in the silence of our hearts. This is a painting I did for a T-shirt design, then fractilius filtered with redfield plug-ins, in photoshop7 Celtic Spirit

NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox
