These Pink Poppies are about the elements. The Earth energy is strong and I have painted some pink fire energy to produce the earth. / In the cycle of elements this print intends to activate three main sections of the pakua. Place in the Northeast, Southwest and the Centre.
Seville, Vic, Australia. I saw this grove of Chestnut trees on the side of the road and jumped a barbed wire fence to shoot it. It was such a surreal morning with the mist rolling through the trees. Took about a dozen shots here and stole 7 chestnuts which I had with my dinner that night. It was only after uploading this that I decided that I’m not entirely happy with it. I have about 10 different versions of it shot at different angles some of which I think are a little better.
Textured geometric acrylic abstract in deep red, yellow ochre and grey with white and black accents. /

This was taken after a Flickr meetup in the Dandenong Ranges earlier this year. Its a grove of trees up in Ferny Creek that I just love to shoot (I have an Autumn shot from here too).

Oil on canvas 24” X 24”. Completed April 2008. www.RainbowPathArtStudio.com “All living beings have the Buddha nature and can become Buddhas” / – Buddha Buddha Within illustrates the story of personal awakening. My understanding of the personal awakening process is that when undergoing the final awakening stage, the kundalini (rainbow serpent) becomes an intense fire (red/orange beside the tree trunk) shooting through the spine engulfing the body. The energy (green vortexes) required is enormous. As the kundalini reaches the crown chakra, it fully opens and all earthly limitations drop away. This being is no longer tied to a religion or faith but now embraces them all as represented by the sacred symbols in the tree. The consciousness now resides in the higher self and is one with the universe and all that is. When the transformation is complete sonic waves (the four vertical crystalline waves) travel out into the universe to let all of creation know of the grace that has taken place. All life is naturally drawn to the radiant and divine being that has become pure Buddha consciousness (centre). At each of the chakra points on the Buddha is a Swarovsky crystal in the relevant chakra colour. Crystal magnifies the properties of the chakra energy. / Buddha Within is divided into four quadrants (earth, fire, water, air) and the five elements including precious metals (bottom corners). The red veins dividing the quadrants represent the lower dimension (inner earth). The higher dimension is represented by the white equilateral triangle. If you look closely, you can see the texture of the underlying branches in the tree. These were meticulous painted before adding the covering of leaves. The tree must be complete in the physical, in order to emit the complete energy of the life form. Imbibed in the painting is sand from a sand mandala created by Gyuto Monks. They had spent a week painstakingly building an exquisite sand mandala. Upon its completion the mandala was ceremonially deconstructed and the sand poured into the local river for healing, accompanied by prayer and the blasting of Tibetan ceremonial horns. Some of the sand is held back and distributed to those who attend the ceremony: it holds sacred healing properties. I used some of the sand from this mandala, mixing it in the purple paint used for the crown charka encircling the white triangle and Buddha. Buddha Within is the third in a series and preceded by The Dream and The Awakening.
In quiet light, a golden glow / lasting a hundred perfect heartbeats… Artist’s notes: I have had the wonderful chance of seeing herons actually sunning themselves like this. In fact, there was one day that absolutely struck me with awe about the playfullness of these birds. I was working with a sheetrock crew, and the house we were at was on the banks of the Columbia river. We’d had a series of strange weather incidents in the valley, all of which flooded the river, and actually made a huge mess of it with countless trees/logs, branches, etc. being swept down the mountains and into the water. So for a couple of days, there was an endless log jam floating down the river. I was taking a break at the house during one of those days, and noticed herons standing on the logs floating down the river. They had their wings held out like in my picture above, and they were facing the sun. They would float down just so far, then turn and fly back up river. Next thing you know…here they’d come again… on a new log. All day long these herons kept repeating that cycle, catching rides on the logs while they could…and sunning themselves in the process. I thought that was so interesting and cool. Plus, I love herons anyway…so, it just seemed fitting to add one to this piece. :) (Original, 11×17 300dpi) / FULL VIEW RECOMMENDED* —-—- Stock Credits: model: mjranum-stock http://mjranum-stock.deviantart.com/art/Little-Black-Goth-5-59785430 / Boat and water: sxc.hu http://www.sxc.hu/photo/937674 / wing brushes: faeth-design http://faeth-design.deviantart.com/art/Wing-Brush-74055731 / textures: my own ©2007-2008 Aimee Stewart, Foxfires / My artwork and photos do not belong to the public domain

Mother Earth is a beautiful Queen endowed with many treasures. The skies are her satins. The sun is her gold. The moon is her silver. The clouds are her pearls. The air is her crystal. The seas are her diamonds. The birds are her minstrels. The butterflies and the bees are her ladies-in-waiting. The flowers and leaves are her brocades. The earthworms are her attendants. We are the lords and the ladies of her court. If we do not respect Queen Earth, she will fall ill, and her treasures will tarnish or be lost forever. If we respect Queen Earth, she shares her treasures for all to glory in. Original Art by Angela F. Acrylic on Canvas. 1869 views. Imagine being born again. Only this time your mother is the earth and you come fully equipped with memories, knowledge and a belief system. What raw emotions are evoked when the first thing you are confronted with is an environment completely foreign to what you were expecting? / Fear, confusion, doubt and loneliness. / Or because of the new environment one may lose their inhibitions, feel joy or perhaps discover inner strength and courage. Maybe the nine images are a true metaphorical reflection of the artists soul? / His background and love for the stage and theatre. / His longing to find true love and a wanting audience. / The ongoing battle of time and money between industry and creative / fulfilment. The symbolism of this piece is quite rich, and in further researches I found out that I ended up making relations between all the representations without consciously being aware of it. The Chemistry is about inner alchemy and how the power of transformation manifests itself through Will. That’s basically my version of the ancient illustrations on alchemy in which we see a dragon-serpent “wrapping” a maiden. In my version, for artistical reasons, I decided not to draw the serpent involving the maiden’s body, but putting her closer to the background, and showing her body changing according to the colors of the environment – which are the colors of the four elements. The serpent is a representation of the unconscious forces of Will. The maiden raises from a pond (the beginning of all things, regeneration, new birth) that has been formerly muddy and still (the dark green color at the edges), and now is made clear by the power of fire (strength, courage, will, passion), or the dragon. A bunch of monarch butterflies come out the pond. The butterfly is one of the symbols of the Gemini sign (Mercury) and the classical representation of regeneration and rebirth. The maiden’s hair turns first into green grass from which 3 lotus flowers (another symbol of rebirth) arise, and then into fire. The dragon’s head show itself among the profusion of hair. The four elements are clearly present, in images and colors: Fire (dragon’s head, the top of the picture, the color red), Earth (grass and leaves, the color green), Air (butterflies, the color yellow) and Water (the pond, the color blue). It’s part of our journey as human beings to face muddy waters throughout our life. But to remain stagnant in them is our choice. We all have the inner strength to being born again, to rebuild ourselves – we just need to accept the changes and look toward the future. We are the alchemists. colored pencil on bristol board / 17×8.5
