Nat Tyler and Agent Provocateur have asked What’s your vision for the future? in a weekend T-shirt design challenge. The year 2258? It’s pretty hard for me to imagine a bright future right now. The lure of hover cars and pretty much everything we were promised in Back to the Future II is far outweighed by the thought that we’re pretty well fucked. What did we do with all that oil, all that coal, all those resources? We burned it.

...and the dark abyss moveth… / inchoate particles, collide…becometh, / into an array of myriads of iotas.. / speckles of alphas ,betas and omegas, / conglomerations, molecules, fragments, / conceiving sensuous yet magical moments… the glorious elements…. / spectacular movements, / against odds, decadents / first, expeditious, then dilatory currents… water, the thirst alleviator…, / earth, the foundation, the litigator, / and there’s the abominable fire, / seething with passion, longing and desire…, / the anemophilous , gusty wind, / puffing, blowing, dusts of lights to attend… elements of existence, / in accord with the Great Existence, / all in a trance and in a colossal chorus.. / forming, creating, both the miniscule and the macros…. (my first experiment by collaborating with another artist) the lay-out was made in photoshop then I exported it to corel X3 to digitally “paint” it in several layers ,added in amorpainter’s images, manipulated them in photopshop….back to X3 for the finishing touches… thank you so much Dick (amorspainter), / for lending me both “symetrie” and “devotie”...as the focal figure in this compo!!! see it in silver: / seeamorspainter thanks again Dick!!!

FOR SALE” The Four Elements “ / I regard this as one of my Masterpieces / price- $ 5,000 au / Acrylic on very thin cotton duck – a stretched canvas / this one is a Huge 177cm x 91cm / It took me many months to paint – and I think it’s just beautiful one of my best! / I have some great photos in my album of how it started / and quite a few photosof the stages in between this painting went through some remarkable transformations to get to the finished stage.. / . I’m proud of this painting because it was such a huge / project to me but..In the end ..the result was very pleasing… I had painted my vision and Ideas about the 4 elements…and it worked..It looked great!! / I will sell this painting because I do need the money , we all want to make a living from what we do best..don’t we..? we have to survive in what way we can and I can’t hang onto all of my paintings forever…I can hang onto some though. If you are interested in this painting..the best and safest way is me to take it off the wooden stretcher and then you have to get it restretched at your end. / it’s in good condition , there is an indentation in the painting at one end of the canvas.. / but this can be fixed in the restretching. I have just had a proffessional artist tell me that the indentation can be easily fixed by wetting the back of the canvas..it’s a very superficial problem.The painting itself is perfect and undamaged with no paint missing at all from this canvas. / / it’s a magnificent painting even if I say so myself… chemis, 1 day ago / it’s a lovely piece, the coloring is very eye catching, full and well layered / nice work! “Show me your garden and I shall tell you what you are.” ~ ALFRED AUSTIN This is my Secret Garden. My work of the last 2 years has culminated at this point. This piece is so very complex, but I will try to explain it to you. This is me. I am from the earth, of the earth, striving to save the earth. She is me, I am her. I live in the country on Kangaroo Island (Australia), surrounded by nature. I have wild kangaroos in my front yard every night, koalas in my trees, and my son Henley and I walk every day, and celebrate the amazing place we live. This nature has engulfed my being. On average, I have been taking about 100 images with my Canon PowerShot camera every single day for the past two years. Macro bugs, macro wildflowers, skies, dead trees, birds, flowers, shells, leaves, images from my orchard, burnt trees from the bushfires, dried up drought-affected dam bases, kangaroos, and of course, my son Henley. So many images have gone into this one piece. There are two worlds here. The abundant and thriving; and the dying, the gone forever. Our house was surrounded by devastating bushfires in Dec 2007 – a time I will never forget. Nothing but smoke could be seen out the windows. This land is vulnerable and changing for the worse every year as a result of Global Warming. It is an issue so very close to my heart because it is on my doorstep. What will this world be like for my child and all the children of now? Famine, drought, heat waves, extreme weather patterns and natural catastrophes, massive bushfires, more war, no jobs, no money, more disease, more animals extinct forever, less trees and rainforests, less farmers, less food. We are seeing it now. Something has to be done. My forehead shows a migraine I recently had during a heatwave. It felt like a penetrating light was entering my eye and illuminating half of my brain before exiting at the base of my skull where the vision centre of the brain is. It was very powerful to me. Vision. Have the vision before the world dies. Mother Earth is dying, as is half of me. What are you doing to help the earth survive? It’s up to our generation, or there will be nothing left. The symbolism of this piece is quite rich, and in further researches I found out that I ended up making relations between all the representations without consciously being aware of it. The Chemistry is about inner alchemy and how the power of transformation manifests itself through Will. That’s basically my version of the ancient illustrations on alchemy in which we see a dragon-serpent “wrapping” a maiden. In my version, for artistical reasons, I decided not to draw the serpent involving the maiden’s body, but putting her closer to the background, and showing her body changing according to the colors of the environment – which are the colors of the four elements. The serpent is a representation of the unconscious forces of Will. The maiden raises from a pond (the beginning of all things, regeneration, new birth) that has been formerly muddy and still (the dark green color at the edges), and now is made clear by the power of fire (strength, courage, will, passion), or the dragon. A bunch of monarch butterflies come out the pond. The butterfly is one of the symbols of the Gemini sign (Mercury) and the classical representation of regeneration and rebirth. The maiden’s hair turns first into green grass from which 3 lotus flowers (another symbol of rebirth) arise, and then into fire. The dragon’s head show itself among the profusion of hair. The four elements are clearly present, in images and colors: Fire (dragon’s head, the top of the picture, the color red), Earth (grass and leaves, the color green), Air (butterflies, the color yellow) and Water (the pond, the color blue). It’s part of our journey as human beings to face muddy waters throughout our life. But to remain stagnant in them is our choice. We all have the inner strength to being born again, to rebuild ourselves – we just need to accept the changes and look toward the future. NOW That everything changes when we start to see that life is suppose to be FUN and we can allow the infinite possibilities to formulate the best path for our desires to manifest. I have never seen this more true than my own life. As everyday I soften my thinking to better feeling thoughts I experience new vista’s to guide me towards that which I am becoming and that which I desire. Today has been such an easy day full of butterfly vibrations and lovely sounds and visions and YOU! xox

Soo I got alittle frustrated with all the smoke here in southern California, and noticed ash all over my patio….so decided to paint with it. / Just sad to see alll those trees and homes gone, and decided there must be some good somewhere from all this disaster and 2 lost firemen.
