The classic profile that gives the Wedge-tailed Eagle its name. Photographed near Alice Springs (NT). This image is also available on a T-shirt ID: F1_34EF
The silhouette of an eagle taking off in a sunset.
Two bald eagles soaring in the clouds.
More eagle fun!
I was on the dock waiting for a sunset when it started to rain, when i turned to leave this pink rainbow was behind me.
This great eagle sculpture of metal feathers is tethered to earth by a metal pole in real life. Last year, an artist friend suggested that it would be neat to lose the pole; so that is what I did with the clone brush, digitally of course. I still have not been able to determine who the artist was that crafted this great piece of metal art that beautifies the landscape of a bank in Denton, Texas.
Early morning mist rising off the mountain side.
This is an adult pale morph, female Little Eagle that I managed to get very close to.

He didn’t get his prize the first time so he is circling around for round two. Taken in Port Hardy, BC Canada at my workplace and Port Hardy is the most northern town on Vancouver Island!! Sort of a bittersweet moment, apparently the West Coast Demo team will no longer perform at airshows with the F-15. To mark the “retirement” this F-15 was hosed down by two firetrucks as it returned from it’s last tactical flight demo. Nikon D300, Sigma 50-500mm.
Music to go with the view! Enjoy & thank you for viewing! / Taken from the waterfront in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island! / / /

The Whistling Kite, an Australian native eagle, that can also be found in New Caledonia and New Guinea. Called the “whistling kite” because of the loud whistling call it makes, often while in flight. This one photographed on the edge of Lake Cooribah, Noosa Northshore, Queensland. They feed mostly on live small mammals, birds, fish, reptiles, amphibians, crustaceans, insects and sometimes dead animals or carrion. Like most eagles, they are the masters of the sky in soaring effortlessly and diving for the kill. This shot was just before a dive, he was applying the brakes as he spotted a meal. Canon 50D, 400mm. Taken with a Canon 50D, Tamron 90mm lens, F4, shutter speed 1/1600 second ISO200, edited in Photoshop Another shot from my recent trip to my local bird of prey Centre Turbary Woods bird of prey centre . As mentioned previously we pay an annual fee to the centre to pay for Checkers (a European Eagle Owl) food, we view it is a privelege to do so, he is a stunning looking owl. Please view large
As most of you know now, the East Coast of Australia was covered by a thick blanket of desert dust, was actually top soil, dried out by the severe drought conditions of the past several months in outback New South Wales. Thousands of tonnes of valuable top soil, out to sea. Didn’t hit the Sunshine Coast of Queensland till about 12 mid-day on the Wednesday, 23rd September, 2009. Was amazing, one minute it’s clear, then you can’t see anything about 500 metres away.. The sky was glowing orange, and the sun looked like the moon! In this shot, I managed to capture an eagle, soaring very low, as they hunted in the dusty conditions. The wind was also strong, and these beautiful birds could do their entire hunt without beating a wing! I hope you enjoy this shot, I know there is millions of shots out there of this event, and it probably will not happen again for many many years.. Canon 50D, 17mm. No filters or colour adjustment to this shot. this is as it looked, creepy! Available Large and best viewed Large!
Yes, another sunrise taken from my workplace in Port Hardy, BC on Vancouver Island. It’s the best part of my job, to enjoy this beautiful scenery every time I look out the bay & Mr. Eagle put an added beauty to the scene! In 16 years, so many different colors and so many eagles! I have seen the worst and best that this bay has to offer! Hope you like and like always, thank you for viewing my point of view!! I recently had a small accident and off for a few days, catch up time in RB world. Keep smiling… / /

Featured in 300+ Go Long; featured artist in Vavoom. A mated pair of bald eagles hover over a mallard duck the female has captured. The male, who is smaller than his mate, will have to wait his turn for a meal from the carcass. The image was captured on Canada’s southwest coast near Vancouver in British Columbia, using a Nikon D700, a Nikkor f4 600 mm lens and 1:4 teleconverter. Camera settings: ISO 800, -0.67 EV, f14, 1/800s.
