The plan worked to perfection, Breehemoth, unleashed his pneumatically assisted whipper arm and plucked Zola from the air. The shock on Zola’s body was immense, his eyes bulged and his sausage roll super thrusters, deprived of much needed airflow, whined in protest. He was fast losing consciousness. The red world blurred and greyed at the edges and all sound receded in a rapidly closing mental fog. The Breehemoth opened its jaws in delight and cast victorious glance down at Zola, no more would these free flyer, cliff-dwellers, disrupt operations at the hill. His last thought was a brief concern as to the whereabouts of Zola’s partner, Gorgon. The distraction had worked, The excitement registered by the Breehemoth, had momentarily diverted power from its dome shield and Gorgon punched through the soft tissue, his internal processors and deft pink fingers worked at light speed, to sever and remove the Breehemoth’s core controller –its brain. Zola dropped from lifeless fingers, his motors roared into life on auto pilot and took him up to a safe altitude, where he came round to see Gorgon next to him. Gorgon and Zola roared off into the red sky with cheesy grins plastered over their faces.

Underneath the Eucalypts, / Upon the forest floor, / I came upon a tree trunk with a little wooden door… / I knocked on it and waited… / Though nobody was at home, / I knew it was the dwelling of a little forest gnome. Captured at Forth, Tasmania.

This room at no. 85 Bank St, Port Fairy had recently been abandoned, evidenced by a half-drunk bottle of Pure Blonde sitting on the fireplace. It told an unfinished story of neglect and impoverishment, not uncommon in Australian rural towns.

In Canyon De Chelly Az. These are the famous cliff dwellings that Ansel Adams photographed. When I visited that area of the southwest a couple rolls of film were overexposed, particularly the ones from this area. I liked this shot anyway however and have worked on it with photo shop. The southwest in daylight is harsh and part of what one remembers about the area.

Steve’s_Biography The koala is a small bear-like, tree-dwelling, herbivorous marsupial which averages about 9kg (20lb) in weight. Its fur is thick and usually ash grey with a tinge of brown in places. The koala gets its name from an ancient Aboriginal word meaning “no drink” because it receives over 90% of its hydration from the Eucalyptus leaves (also known as gum leaves) it eats, and only drinks when ill or times when there is not enough moisture in the leaves, ie during droughts etc. The koala is the only mammal, other than the Greater Glider and Ringtail Possum, which can survive on a diet of eucalyptus leaves.

There were a few more people on the beach but I removed them to keep the sole figure walking towards the light. I liked the vastness of the shore in this pic I took during a walk to my local neighborhood pier. :)

Haunted House with graves, mist and ghosts. Oooooooooooooooo!
-
In a special place, deep in the woods, reside the faeries, I quite like their little homes! I like them so much, I shrink myself, dress in the most shimmering, translucent flower petals and trust me, they are really hard to remove from the stems when you stand no more than 8 inches tall! Finally, dressed appropriately, I tiptoe to the house of the Faerie King and Queen, nervously, I tap lightly on their door, hearing footsteps scurrying towards me, my heart beats harder and faster…will they let me in?

Deep inside a lily is perhaps a mystery….

Okay, so not really. The sky is real and reflected using a flaming pear filter and a little adjusting of the house.
