I found this old piano in an abandoned church. It’s a haunting echo of music played, songs sung, and dances danced.

All proceeds from sales from will go to the / TorontoHumaneSociety You love the roses – so do I. I wish / The sky would rain down roses, as they rain / From off the shaken bush. Why will it not? / Then all the valley would be pink and white / And soft to tread on. They would fall as light / As feathers, smelling sweet; and it would be / Like sleeping and like waking, all at once! Roses by George Eliot

  • In And Out The Dusty Bluebells
    by A90Six

    US$4.19–US$95.76

This is a shot taken in Spring of the bluebells that carpet the floor of the Weald. I remember playing In and Out the Dusty Bluebells as a child at school. I wonder if it is still played anywhere today? In and out the dusty bluebells: All but one of the children stand in a circle, hold hands, and then lift them up into arches. The remaining child weaves in and out of the arches to the tune of In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, Who shall be my partner? The child then stops and stands behind one of the other children in the circle. While they all sing the chorus, the child behind taps on the child’s shoulder in front. Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder, Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder. Tippy Tippy tappy on your shoulder, You shall be my partner. The child behind then gets hold of the second child’s waist, and they weave through the arches together, with the remaining children cloing up the circle. Thetwo then pick a third child at the chorus, and so on, with the line getting longer and longer until the last two in the circle foorma an arch, one gets chosen as the last partner and the last child starts a new game in the middle. How simple life was then.

    by Chris Dixon

    US$6.65–US$152.00

Someday… on a clear, still, moonlit night; / To the beach, is where we’ll go. / With a blanket and hot chocolate already packed; / Walk, hand in hand, on soft, warm sand; / Down to the water’s edge, where we’ll dance awhile; / Oh, to hold you close and whisper in your ear; / Those three words you’ve longed to hear. / Brush aside the hair which hides your face; / See a smile grow and laughter kiss your lips; / Then sit with you ‘til dawn‘s early light; / Your hand in my left, hot chocolate in my right. / Precious moments, dreams and memories; / Someday… with you, I want to share.

  • From my collection: / The Tropical Zone / Flowering Trees of Hawai’i Wilhelmina Tenney Rainbow Shower Tree / Makawao Maui Blossoms from the pink and white Shower Tree were pollinated by a blossom from the Golden Shower in 1918 by David Haughes, head nurseryman for the Board of Agriculture of the Territory of Hawaii. They are now propagated by air layering or grafting on tap rooted seedlings. In 1965, Honolulu adopted the proposal of then-Mayor Neal S. Blaisdell and made the Wilhelmina Tenney Rainbow Shower Tree and its dusty pink blossoms the city’s official tree. Shower trees are some of Honolulu’s most visible harbingers of summer. The original Rainbow Shower Tree was planted in the yard of Wilhelmina Tenney on Lunalilo Street in 1920. Offspring of the original were planted all over the city and have found their way to neighboring islands. This one is growing on Baldwin Avenue between Upper Pa`ia and Makawao on Maui. Herald of the summer season of beautiful flowering trees on Maui, this is a lovely soft dusty pink and yellow variety growing near Makawao, with a subtle beauty in early morning light. The flowers are red, yellow and white, but sunlight blends the colours to soft pink and yellow. This beautiful flowering tree may attain a height of 50 feet. The Rainbow Shower became the official tree of Honolulu in 1965 as part of a campaign to promote Honolulu as “The City of Flowering Trees.” The original Rainbow shower tree was planted in the yard of Wilhelmina Tenney on Lunalilo Street in 1920. Offspring of the original were planted all over the city and have found their way to neighboring islands. • A Presence
    by Nikki Trexel

    US$4.66–US$106.40

This was taken at the downtown loft where my church college group meets. On this day we were tearing down walls to make more room. If I’d taken a picture slightly to the left, you’d see mounds of insulation, drywall, wiring and 2×4s littering the room. It was a huge mess – hence the dust creating the wonderful effect near the window.

When a farming idea failed, this place was abandoned and dreams left behind. As I poked around, I could hear small movements and felt watched….only to discover it was home to masses of whopping great crabs, roaming back and forth from forest to floorboards!
