Someday… on a clear, still, moonlit night; / To the beach, is where we’ll go. / With a blanket and hot chocolate already packed; / Walk, hand in hand, on soft, warm sand; / Down to the water’s edge, where we’ll dance awhile; / Oh, to hold you close and whisper in your ear; / Those three words you’ve longed to hear. / Brush aside the hair which hides your face; / See a smile grow and laughter kiss your lips; / Then sit with you ‘til dawn‘s early light; / Your hand in my left, hot chocolate in my right. / Precious moments, dreams and memories; / Someday… with you, I want to share.
I found this old piano in an abandoned church. It’s a haunting echo of music played, songs sung, and dances danced.
Temple of Olympian Zeus, Athens Greece. It’s just such a powerful structure, I wanted to convey the kind of impression it left on me.
The Paraganj bazaar in New Delhi.. we happened to arrive in a once a year Sikh festival.. by nightfall there was sword-fighting in the streets.. I love this shot because like everywhere in India, there’s always faces at every turn.. and I love the faces in this shot, from the guys at the front, to the bystanders in the shadows..

Why will it not? / Then all the valley would be pink and white / And soft to tread on. This is a shot taken in Spring of the bluebells that carpet the floor of the Weald. I remember playing In and Out the Dusty Bluebells as a child at school. I wonder if it is still played anywhere today? In and out the dusty bluebells: All but one of the children stand in a circle, hold hands, and then lift them up into arches. The remaining child weaves in and out of the arches to the tune of In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, In and out the dusty bluebells, Who shall be my partner? The child then stops and stands behind one of the other children in the circle. While they all sing the chorus, the child behind taps on the child’s shoulder in front. Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder, Tippy tippy tappy on your shoulder. Tippy Tippy tappy on your shoulder, You shall be my partner. The child behind then gets hold of the second child’s waist, and they weave through the arches together, with the remaining children cloing up the circle. Thetwo then pick a third child at the chorus, and so on, with the line getting longer and longer until the last two in the circle foorma an arch, one gets chosen as the last partner and the last child starts a new game in the middle. How simple life was then.

This was taken at the downtown loft where my church college group meets. On this day we were tearing down walls to make more room. If I’d taken a picture slightly to the left, you’d see mounds of insulation, drywall, wiring and 2×4s littering the room. It was a huge mess – hence the dust creating the wonderful effect near the window.

/ I wouldn’t like to feed the photographers for which this photo is the plain and simple truth. Another instalment in my Nostalgia series although a little different then usual in the set-up. It’s a lot simpler a composition then most of my work, but let me assure you, it was so much harder to get right! Shot with my relatively new Pentax K10D and a very old Pentax-A 1:1.7 50mm objective. You can read all about the technique used in this tutorial more work / the calendar / preview / “Forgotten” was sold as a Medium mounted print to an anonymous buyer. Meet Dusty. He belongs to my neighbor across the street. I called her today and asked if I could photograph him. She happily brought him over, and even helped with the props.
can you get what sort of surface it is? The sun was picking out this dust. Must get off RB and back to housework! Best On Full Size This image was taken at The Keystone State – Pennsylvania group’s recent shoot in Lancaster County, PA (near Manheim) at BreakAway Farms. One of the great things about this shot, for me, is that my Dear Hubby (who came along YAY!) actually found this little bottle and placed it on the window sill for me. He even named the shot. The bottle is from the wedding of the owner of the farm … 6 years previous. It eventually gathered quite a crowd … this is Ann, Mike and Eric all working to get just the right perspective!!!! The bottle image taken on the morning of August 8, 2009 with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was at 1/50, aperture f/13, exp. 0.00, iso 400. Post processing included duplication of the image 3 more times at +3, 0, -3, -8 and HDR in Photomatix, then back to Photoshop for more work with the clone tool, levels, blending with a previously multiplied layer and addition of a texture. texture courtesy of Ghostbones on Flickr
Woooot!! Featured in: Extreme Close-ups! / AND Dimensions / AND / A Fascinating Purple / AND / Canon vs Nikon / As Part of My FIRST TRIPLE FEATURE!! Now this water drop has a very strange story behind it…I guess you could say that I really am noticing things that no normal person would notice!! rofl I washed my sink and taps this morning…with a J-Cloth…basically a blue and white fiber cloth that you use a few times and throw away. As I finished rinsing everything down I spotted a tiny water drop suspended from the end of the faucet…dripping off of a few strands of fiber that had caught when I wiped it down…this is the shot that I captured after I made a dash for my camera before that drop dropped:) / Canon 500D Sigma EX DG 70mm Macro and extension tubes..manual focus…natural light from the kitchen window above the sink:)
As most of you know now, the East Coast of Australia was covered by a thick blanket of desert dust, was actually top soil, dried out by the severe drought conditions of the past several months in outback New South Wales. Thousands of tonnes of valuable top soil, out to sea. Didn’t hit the Sunshine Coast of Queensland till about 12 mid-day on the Wednesday, 23rd September, 2009. Was amazing, one minute it’s clear, then you can’t see anything about 500 metres away.. The sky was glowing orange, and the sun looked like the moon! In this shot, I managed to capture an eagle, soaring very low, as they hunted in the dusty conditions. The wind was also strong, and these beautiful birds could do their entire hunt without beating a wing! I hope you enjoy this shot, I know there is millions of shots out there of this event, and it probably will not happen again for many many years.. Canon 50D, 17mm. No filters or colour adjustment to this shot. this is as it looked, creepy! Available Large and best viewed Large!

Lee Anderson brought his horse, Dusty, cowboy gear and outfits to the Empire Ranch Open House in Sonoita, Arizona, to tell the history of the American cowboy circa 1880-1920. As romanticized in numerous motion pictures, cowboys always seem to be larger than life. The truth about their life and times, however, is far different from the movie myth. This is my antique phone, given to me for my birthday about 9 years ago. It actually rings, not the electronic style, but the real bell ring, more like a fire alarm.
