Mono Lake, California is a place of special beauty. Tufas are limstone formation that only built up under water; because water level has been drained to provide drinking water to Southern California Tufas are now visible outside of water. Mono Lake lies in the High Sierras just outside the eastern entrance of Yosemite National Park.

Louvre Pyramid is the large metal and glass pyramid which serves as the main entrance to the Musée du Louvre and has in the meantime become a landmark for the city of Paris. Commissioned by then French president François Mitterrand, it was built in 1989 by the architect I. M. Pei from New York, who was responsible for the design of the Miho Museum in Japan among others. The structure, which was constructed entirely with glass segments, reaches a height of 20.6 meters (about 70 feet); its square base has sides of 35 meters (115 feet). It consists of 603 rhombus-shaped and 70 triangular glass segments.

the Eiffel Tower at dusk probably the most photographed piece of history ever! But we were just leaving after our 2 day whistle stop tour when we heard an “ooohh” from the people around us, we looked up and saw the lights going on…. Taken on a Canon Ixusi no modes selected just a push and point which makes me now want to do that 4 hour journey to go back and take photos of this beautiful city (with my new baby!) hopefully it will happen soon (I have hinted for next years birthday!)
