Taken at sunset at Laval-Ouest beach on 22/04/08(spring in Canada). Used my Canon A75. I am pleased with the color and calmness of the lake. The name came to me instantly. Although it cannot be seen by the viewer this area was flooded out and I had to take the shot from across the road as the water had spilled over. Featured in Live, Love, Dream group, October 2008

  • Bipolar
    by Simone Byrne

© Simone Byrne Photography, 2007. All Rights Reserved. 29th November, 2007 Sunset at the ‘Tree Graveyard’. A conceptual image (diptych) for all those who are plagued by the “black dog”. Redesdale, Victoria, Australia What is Bipolar? Bipolar disorder is a medical illness that causes severe mood swings which are caused by a chemical imbalance in the brain. People who suffer from this illness lack the control mechanism that enables them to pull away from emotional situations and as such their lives may spiral out of control, through no fault of their own. The illness is very serious and very real and affects not only the sufferer, but their friends and family as well. There is still a lot of stigma attached to this disease, given that it is a mental illness to which very little is known about. It is incurable but can be controlled by diet and medication. Most bipolar types are brilliant, creative, inspiring, loving, generous and caring individuals who contribute to making the world a better place, but all the while they themselves struggle every day to survive. • Vanishing Point
    by DavidMark

    US$4.83–US$82.65

This was an old back road I took somewhere near Rathdowney as you approach the Border Ranges NP in SE Queensland. It was just before dawn and there was a thick fog so I pulled over and set up my camera and tripod. There wasn’t a soul for miles and it was totally silent. It was quite freaky and I remember thinking how Steven King it was! I expected to hear wolves howling or something, but there was nothing except my over-active imagination playing tricks on me! Too many horror movies for me I think! / Olympus compact 550UZ. David Mark Landscape Photography – Home
