Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. Taken at the Waterrun, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney at the same location as Poetry of Chaos and Falling Water Falling Light, but one month later. Really curious that at the same location in the park there were two rainbows in very similar positions but one month apart. I find strange coincidences like this happen a lot in the park – for example shooting storms off the cliffs over a couple of years I’ve found the lightning strikes are almost always in the same place for each storm. Tv: 0.6sec / Av: f/22 / ISO:100 / FL: 19mm (but heavy crop) Falling Water Falling Light: Poetry of Chaos:

This shot was taken in The Water Run on the Coastal Walk in Royal NP just south of Sydney Australia. It was a wild and stormy evening and the sun just started to emerge from the clouds behind me as it was setting. The blue tint to the water comes for a very short period around sunset – you can just see it in any moving water at this time in the right light but the camera really picks it up. I took this photo of a storm hitting the Glasshouse Mountains just after sunset from the top of Wild Horse Mountain. Unfortunately the mountains don’t look too sharp due to the blurring effect of the heavy rain. I had a lot of trouble holding the tripod down the wind was so fierce let alone keeping rain drops off the lens.

I was framing some sunset shots last night when i looked up directly above me and saw this! My first thought was that it looked dirty, but after processing, it reminded me somehow of a Mocca Chocolate drink (which is better than Dirty). / The only processing done was to increase contrast to strong, increase clarity to 100% (in Camera Raw) and tweak the levels ever so slightly in PS3. . .

Psalm 23:2 / “He leads me beside quiet waters” The last rays of the setting sun are reflected in the vegetation and the quiet waters of Thompson’s Creek near the homestead at Charlemont on an evening with promising rain clouds in the skies. /
