Carved By Nature’s Wrath / The 12 Apostles, Victoria Following a day of torrential rain and gale force winds, the sun shone momentarily, lighting up the moody sky, before plunging the rugged coastline into complete darkness. As night falls, a solitary waterfall is all that remains of the passing storms, returning the much needed rain to the swollen seas of the shipwreck coast. • Storm's End
    by Geoff Coleman

    US$3.71–US$98.80

Taken at the Waterrun, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney at the same location as Poetry of Chaos and Falling Water Falling Light, but one month later. Really curious that at the same location in the park there were two rainbows in very similar positions but one month apart. I find strange coincidences like this happen a lot in the park – for example shooting storms off the cliffs over a couple of years I’ve found the lightning strikes are almost always in the same place for each storm. Tv: 0.6sec / Av: f/22 / ISO:100 / FL: 19mm (but heavy crop) Falling Water Falling Light: Poetry of Chaos:

  • BEST VIEWED LARGER THis shot was taken from Berrys Bay/ Balls Head Park on the north shore of Sydney taken on Wednesday 28th May 2008 around 5pm. As you can see the clouds herald what is to come, the buildings are lit by pre storm light combined with the last rays of day light. The storm that followed was quite severe with 868 recorded lightning strikes, just have to love the clouds and light. Equipment used Nikon D300 and Nikon 18 – 200mm lens. /

  • The Poetry of Chaos
    by Geoff Coleman

    US$4.28–US$114.00

This shot was taken in The Water Run on the Coastal Walk in Royal NP just south of Sydney Australia. It was a wild and stormy evening and the sun just started to emerge from the clouds behind me as it was setting. Because the light was so low I managed to play around with a lot of shutter speeds – ended up with a number of shots that I’m happy with which I’ll gradually post over the next few months so you don’t get bored with the series. It fascinates me how much the mood of water shots taken at exactly the same time can vary with the shutter speed. I particularly liked the chaos of the wave spray angles in this one whereas in some of the 6 second exposures i took the waves turn ghost like and the mood is much more tranquil and mysterious. / Canon 30D / Tv: 1/6sec / Av: f/13 / ISO: 100 / FL: 28mm

  • Glasshouse Storm
    by AdamDonnelly

    US$4.84–US$129.20

I took this photo of a storm hitting the Glasshouse Mountains just after sunset from the top of Wild Horse Mountain. Unfortunately the mountains don’t look too sharp due to the blurring effect of the heavy rain. I had a lot of trouble holding the tripod down the wind was so fierce let alone keeping rain drops off the lens.

  • Mocca Sunset
    by Craig Hender

    US$3.42–US$91.20

I was framing some sunset shots last night when i looked up directly above me and saw this! My first thought was that it looked dirty, but after processing, it reminded me somehow of a Mocca Chocolate drink (which is better than Dirty). / The only processing done was to increase contrast to strong, increase clarity to 100% (in Camera Raw) and tweak the levels ever so slightly in PS3. . .
