Rain clouds at sunset in the Arizona desert.

Taken at sunset at Laval-Ouest beach on 22/04/08(spring in Canada). Used my Canon A75. I am pleased with the color and calmness of the lake. The name came to me instantly. Although it cannot be seen by the viewer this area was flooded out and I had to take the shot from across the road as the water had spilled over. Featured in Live, Love, Dream group, October 2008

This is Port Willunga Jetty in mono. Taken at Port Willunga, South Australia, Australia at sunset. I was going for a high key type image. This was taken on a tripod, no flash, f25, ISO 200, 1.3 sec exposure with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D. I was so fortunate to sell, on redbubble, a large mounted print of this work, with the white border and artist’s details, to a good friend.

Taken looking south to Wollongong from Providential Point, Royal National Park, just south of Sydney Australia. / This is my first attempt at a multi-exposure blend. This image is a combinations of 57 X 30sec exposures using the fantastic Startrails Photoshop Action that you can download free from this excellent site: / www.schursastrophotography.com/software/photoshop/startra… I was put on to this action by Dave Burrow whose amazing startrails image can be seen here: / http://www.redbubble.com/people/davidburrows/art/321722-3-startrails The brilliant thing about this PS action is that the longest exposure you need to take is 30sec and so it virtually eliminates the noise problem of conventional long exposure startrails. You can imagine how much noise this shot would have as a 30min exposure. / The straight lines are some of 9 planes that flew through these exposures over the half-hour I was taking them – amazingly consistent flight paths. It got so busy I had to delete some of the planetrails, hence the little gaps in the startrails.

In modern English, the term ghost ship has come to stand for at least one of three separate definitions, all of which involving unexplained circumstances. Historically, the term has been used to refer to reported sightings of apparitions over water that have appeared in the form of maritime sailing ships, often after having previously been known to have sunk, or to derelict vessels found floating with no crew. In fiction, ghost ships have often been vessels crewed by some manner of spectral beings. Full Moons are traditionally associated with temporal insomnia, insanity and various magical phenomena such as lycanthropy. Psychologists, however, have found that there is no strong evidence for effects on human behavior around the time of a full moon. They find that studies are generally not consistent, with some showing a positive effect and others showing a negative effect (hence the terms lunacy and lunatic) Many neopagans hold a monthly ritual called an Esbat at each full moon, while some people practicing traditional Chinese religions prepare their ritual offerings to their ancestors and deities on every full and new moon

Taken at dusk at Port Willunga Beach, South Australia, Australia. This is my favourite beach in SA. Photoshop used to enhance the colour of the sunset with colour balance and filters. This was taken on a tripod using F32, 10 second exposure, ISO 200 and 75mm lens. This was taken using a Canon DSLR EOS 350D.

Edited in photoshop CS2. Photography and artwork by Jennifer Woodward © 2008 Note: Among other purchases, I recently bought a card of Elephant Embrace, and I was absolutely delighted with the vibrancy of colour, sharpness and the overall clarity of the image. I was also extremely impressed with redbubble’s choice of high quality, weighty card which offers a glossy, and textured finish. Impressive stuff! / / a selection of some other works

Nature’s forces can sometimes be so powerful. / This was the moon rising – June 2008 – I thought the clouds were about to engulf the moon from underneath.

Another shot of my 2 boys while on a shoot at marsh mill windmill in thornton Cleveleys lancashire, the last bit of light was setting behind them, I got them to stay still on their bikes and by using spot metering on the camera and exposing for the brightness behind / them got these great silhouettes of them…. /

Went for a walk yesterday to a local beach to discover not only had the beach disappeared where we take our walks, but the lake had flooded over several streets in the vicinity! Regardless we were there for the dusk and sunset and I was able to get a few shots worth posting. / Taken with my Canon A75 at Laval-Ouest beach on Tuesday April 22/08.
