This image inspired a collaboration with / chord0 / / His poem God’s love in Nature suite this image perfectly. God’s love in Nature / When slight and silenced, / With rumors of corollas and wings, / Is love that fills everything! / Have agitated waves / And the deep vertigo / Of the abyss and the distance. / Life and Death, eternal Love / Of pain and exuberance, / Keep me chained / To the light of his Word / And that sleeps at dusk / In the footprints of the plants. Please check his writings and gallery Bacara Beach in Santa Barbara, California during magic hour at dusk. The pier in the background is for the oil company use only, to load and unload personnel and supplies for the oil rigs in the Channel Islands passage. / Image was taken using HDR technique. —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-- /

  • Last Light
    by Bonnie Taylor Barry

    US$4.99–US$114.00

I’m not a beach person, never have been, but after reading Anne Morrow Lindbergh’s Gift from the Sea which was written on Sanibel/Captiva Island, Florida, I had a strong urge to go there. My husband and I took a belated 37th wedding anniversary trip to the islands which we thoroughly enjoyed. The sunrises and sunsets were a joyous sight for us, and this photo which I’ve titled “Last Light” is among my favorites as it symbolizes the way people cling to the last rays of light on the beach, squeezing in every available moment at the seashore. The area in the distance was a gathering place for fishermen who continued to cast till they could see no more.

.................a long exposure at dusk, long enough to see what is in us all…............... Taken at Hunstanton beach, Norfolk,UK.

  • This was taken at Toledo Bend Lake in Louisiana. I love the reflections in the water of the string of docks along the shoreline and the silhouettes of the fishermen who are still casting as the last rays of light illumine their way.

  • (e)motional sea
    by Hogne

    US$6.65–US$152.00

It takes about 20 minutes with a fast boat to reach this last island of the local archipelago. It is one of my favorite locations for photographing. This is the view of the ocean from the south most tip. It was the first evening with some real summer weather for a while. The sea was quite warm but still unsettled after recent days of wind. Actually we had a clear sky just until the sunset. At that time low clouds started to appear on the horizon – to my photographic pleasure of course. I took a lot of pictures this evening (as I usually do here) so it was hard to pick one to start with. But, in the end I liked this one a lot. I hope you enjoy it too. My work on flickr

  • It was the end of a gorgeous day at White Point Beach Lodge on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, Canada. The sun was shining down on parts of the white wash and making it glow so pretty that I had to capture a bit of it.

  • “As with all great journeys, the vision is the beginning / Dreams of all the possibilities, / of the many paths widening to the future / Of all the great and extraordinary things our mind can imagine / The persistence of our own opportunistic souls reaching for what is yet unabridged / An unconscious decision to struggle forward yet again / And without even knowing of our focus / We start forward All of our past, / our teachings, / our experience / are brought into play / The trials of our past giving us the tools that we need to find our way / Our way to fulfilling this newest quest for our dream / No obstacle too great, / no argument rebuff / The journey begun, / we will not allow defeat / We can only see the unfolding, / as it will be / And as always, / the goal is reached / And there, / sated in the peace of our newly added thread in the web of our life / We rest / And the vision comes again” ~ by Steve ‘Easy’ Whitacre 2005
