This is the river Elbe, passing peacefully through the Czech Middle-Mountains, it’s one of the biggest rivers in the Czech Republic.
Ya, thought the title pretty much summed it up! Captured a couple night ago as the sun was sinking low out at Reunion Lake on the eastern plains of Colorado. The colors were just stunning, I was pretty awe struck, it yielded quite a few really nice shots! Let me know what ya think! / —-John
Last light, Meningie South Australia. A distinct lack of water in the lower reaches of the Murray – where this town jetty would normally have water around it. The stting sun lines up perfectly with this jetty each night.
Filling up a glass of water and noticed this out of the kitchen window. Literally ran outside with a t-shirt and slippers on to get this before it went. First few shots were a golden amber in color then it went to this before it disappeared. Only snapped about 30 bracketed shots before it was gone. Gonna go a repot my orchid while this is uploading (and I finished it, thanks dial-up). Hope you like it. Please critique… print available here and on my website. Seasons Greetings! / Wishing everyone a very merry time whatever you’re celebrating / :))) Late afternoon light on this frosty winter scene near Manor Brig over the River Tweed outside Peebles in the Scottish Borders. Nikon D60 / Nikkor 18-200 / UV filter / f/9 / 1/40 sec / ISO-100 / 70mm !
A winter`s evening on the Swan river with the reflections of the City of Perth. I had to wait awhile to shoot this image as some months before there had been a gas explosion up north and WA was on limited gas supplies and consequently all the city`s lights were getting turned off, however I think it worked in my favour, as the cooler winter weather enhanced the blues of the image.

MUCH BETTER VIEWED LARGER Welcome to my latest work , for those commenting and if i am lucky favouriting thank you for dropping in ! This shot was taken on my recent travels south , had a great time wandering around Albury on my way back from Victoria. At Albury Wodonga, the Hume Highway, Australia’s busiest national transport corridor, crosses the Murray. For many years, Albury Wodonga has been singled out by travellers to break their journey overland from Melbourne to Sydney. In fact, Hamilton Hume and William Hovell passed through the area in 1824 and the famous ‘Hovell Tree’, in which Hovell carved his initials, still stands on the banks of the Murray River at Albury. Albury is lucky to be located on the magnificent Murray River. AlburyCity has a series of parks along the River’s edge with picnic and barbecue facilities. A two metre wide shaded walking/cycling trail runs through the parks, and has links to other trail networks throughout Albury and into Wodonga. Why not take a break at the outdoor Riverdeck Café in Noreuil Park. There’s a children’s playground, and the Noreuil Park foreshore is a favourite swimming spot if the weather is right. This shot was taken with 5 bracketted images around sunset, the camera Nikon D300, using a Sigma 10-20mm lens. The image processed using Photomatix Pro with a tidy up with Capture NX.
