Photo taken by collegue Simon Frankel. Then edited in Photoshop by myself. Thankyou to Simon for allowing me to post the photo. This was not a sand storm as some may think. Just over the hill was a raging fire that was taking control in 2006. They were taken at Pike River during the bush fire that burnt out around 120,000 hectares of scrub just north of the Riverland. / It was a mixture of smoke, stormy grey cloud and some sun trying to break through.

the sunset was just incredible and I was driving thru Minesota when this field of sunflowers just happend to be next to the road, I did not think twice about pulling over to capture this moment on film!

Mitsubishi Evolution at full throttle during the Victorian round of the Dutton Rally Series. This event marked my first go at experimenting with panning shots, it took me a while to get them sharp and to decide on what shutter speed was appropriate but in the end I was happy with many of the shots I took :) Click here for my other photos of cars!

This new science fiction digital art is from a new series I am doing called Daleth – The Other World. Daleth is a beautiful planet not spoiled by sentient beings. With two suns and several planets close by, the views are always beautiful and the weather very changeable. As my first day went on during this busmans holiday on the planet Daleth, I was awed by the beauty of the neighbouring planet that rose in the morning to the left of my camp. Very much like Earth’s Jupiter, it seemed to hang in the sky. I felt like I could reach out and touch it. If I had not been on a working holiday, I would have spent the first day just sitting staring, but I was working and time was getting on… So, here is the third in my new series.
