A pen and wash I did in Durham more years ago than I care to remember! / (1984 actually !) / It depicts the cathedral sat on top of the hill and one of the bridges over the River Wear.

Ornamental Bridge over the lake at Hardwick Hall, Co Durham. / The grounds here are dotted with interesting features, some old and some modern artwork. We had little time to explore this day but we will visit again next year and take lots more photos!

I came across an amazing old building with this great door while in Durham, I thought it looked pretty cool.
