Ever wondered what appeared on the home page of Redbubble every time a new theme was chosen? But, like me, didn’t even visit Redbubble because life was far too busy? No problem. Now you can see them any time , even after the next theme has been picked. A BIG thanks goes to Sanne Thijs for her efforts to copy and produce these screen-dumps each time!

  • A forgotten dump truck in an abandoned building in Madbury, NH. HDR: 3 photos, tripod, EV+2,0,-2, Photomatix Pro / NIKON D70s, 18-70 kit lens

  • We stopped at the dump at Hardy Creek one day, and saw these crows sitting on the fence near the big dumpster. Some of the crows were fighting over treasures they’d found, but these two, were sitting there talking about their treasures, and wondering how human beings could create so much waste! / ______ Created this in Photoshop Elements 7, from my original photo, which was taken with a Nikon D300, 70-300 mm lens. The Hardy Creek dump is near Cascade, Montana, along the Missouri River. It’s a great place to stop, for we always see magpies, crows, mule deer, and other wildlife. There’s a state park near the dump and the wildlife don’t know the boundaries. :) I added a rough cement texture to this photo, copied and flipped the crow to get two of them. Carefully fit the “new” crow into his background. Erased the cement texture from the crows. Added some twigs and brush with a tree brush. Added a yellow ducky to one crows feet, and a rag to the other crow. Added the words Solid Waste to the dumpster for reinforcement of the theme. The words were to black and strong, so I added a layer, painted over them with red, and knocked the layer back so the words showed through. I think that’s all I did to this. :)

  • Thought I’d upload the image in large….all that water falling over the front rocks there also fell on me and the camera…. I have never been so thoroughly soaked before…whilst wearing clothes… Since I was there with a couple of my students it was a GREAT lesson on what NOT to do….LOL
