This photo was taken at the Dachau Concentration camp, it was the first camp opened in Germany. It was believed that over 25,000 people died during the camps duration and was one of the most grim places I have ever visited. I walked through rooms set up as gas chambers disguised as showers for the prisoners, thankfully the gas chambers were never used for their intended purpose as I think it would be a horrific way to die. This photo presents the juxtaposition between inside and outside of the camp, the camp is surrounded by an electrified barbed-wire fence, a ditch, and a wall with seven guard towers. It was near on impossible to escape however in 1933 Hans Beimler managed to escape the grounds and wrote about his experience inside Dachau.

Dull day
This was last weekend. at a pub that had decided to put on a festival night for us, as the main festival was cancelled due to rain. these flags were just blowing in the wind. i loved it as it was quite a gloomy moment in terms of light, and thought the colour was a good pick me up.
a few brambles and twigs focussed on, with the backdrop of a few trees. i like this quite a lot because of the murky dark colours and the severe depth of field.
this photo was taken in the centre of brighton for the Project: Warriors group / i took this photograph because i think it show how i like to play with sunlight aswell as artificial light / i hope this shows a lil of the style of photography i like to work with Harry Hutchin
From Djursland/Denmark. The month November is dark, foggy and dull in Denmark – the picture is made in the daytimes of the 4th of November 2008. The trees stands as black silhouettes in their own beauty. We say, that the year has 16 months – the danish poet Henrik Nordbrandt has made a small poet about November: “The Year has 16 months: November, December, January, February, March, April, Mai, June, Juli, August, September, October, November, November, November, November.” Made him famous in Denmark – it just hits the Mood of November! Photoshop, character concept stuff.
I had passed this tiled scene many times and only glanced at the content. Then I had a longer look and decided that I must take a photo. The bright colours added some life to a very dull day.
This is the coastline or the skyline (just as you like ;)) of Bremerhaven, northern Germany, on a grey and dull day. / I decided to change this image to sepia as there were interesting colours missing that day.
