The buildings are a photo taken of Sydney while I was on a ferry. I think turned them into an illustration ofcourse.

The title pretty much says it all. The silhouette is a shot I took of Sydney while I was on a boat. I then comped it with a silhouette of a boat. Kinda simplistic. Any suggestions on how to make it better?

Well this was a fun one. Had no idea what I was doing the entire time. No idea how it was going to look or what I wanted. The Cloud people kinda make me smile :D. Hope everyone likes it. A bit on how i did it. (Clouds): .Pen tool. Circle vector shapes. I made the White part of the clouds then duplicated it inverted the new layer, scaled it and placed it behind the white part. This created the stroke. I then used the pen tool to make the sharper points. This gave it more of a cartoon 3d feel. (Sun rays) the colour was created with alot of use of hue and saturation. (Stars ) : Generic Photoshop paint brush. (Cloud people): Just making solid shapes and moving them till you get the shadow right. Heart glasses are made from a custom photoshop vector shape. ( Baloon) : I dont think I got it right in the end. But I needed to make it 3d. Not only side on 3d with a bit of light and shadow but make it look as if the ‘camera’ is looking slightly upwards.

Same as the Blue Sky rocks. With a Hue difference. I dont like to add work similar to others but I have had mixed compliments on both version so I added both.

Morgan is the first character for my emo sanctuary collection. I will be doing 5 characters each with their own personality, or lack of it, or whatever. Morgan likes to hang at the skate park. He can’t skate but writes poems about how much it makes the dark abyss of his heart feel so much less of a burden upon his frail unspoken soul. Morgans most common phrase is “Mom. Get out of my room.”

Patrick Everteary is the 2nd character for my emo sanctuary collection. Patrick never really fits in unless its a “Stab me with my heart bleeding” concert. / He never really makes friends but in between tears he manages to gain enough courage to post song lyrics on his myspace. Patrick’s most commonly used phrase is “It would be easier to just kill myself”

Little bit about the shot. It was a very overcast day, quite a storm had developed but as it got later in the afternoon a small patch of sky had cleared behind me and i could get a reflection of light from the buildings behind my focus. The Sky also contrasts the light in this shot.
