  • The most intense orange/yellow rose I have ever seen! / / This is the same rose I used in my photo yellow rose, /

  • Playing in the garden.

  • Early morning shoot. As shot, no Photoshop work except for the removal of the odd spot or two. The highlight is nature and my flash off camera. Detail: /

  • A day of shooting around Anglesea last summer. I loved the pattern the receding tide had created. / This was taken at the same time as Low Tide and Chaos after Order

  • One day while going through my collection of photos these two images just cried out to be worked on and combined, this is the result. Both photos are from different shoots, completely unrelated except that they were both done as experiments, and to me they just seem like such a perfect match. I love how going through older work can inspire fresh revelation. One of the reasons I hardly ever delete old photos, no matter how insignificant. Detail / / Original Prism Photo / / Original Ice Photo /

  • Clover backlit with flash

  • Just some fun with Photoshop and Illustrator. I found these wonderful buttons at a local op-shop in one of those random jars of buttons. I am always looking for small props to use in my jewellery photography, op-shops and $2 shops are great for that kind of stuff. Detail /

  • clichéd I know but they grow at my front door and I couldn’t resist. / I also shot it a little different

  • Another Lily photo. See also Lily and Lilicide

  • I feel like I have so many words about this image and yet I can’t seem to find them… I can say that it hit me in the gut when I finished making it! / maybe I’m just hungry? Mmmm food… / wonders off in search of food Detail /

  • 3D render

  • This piece has been a long time coming, but I am finally ready to call it finished. An evolution of my earlier work Flowers of smoke and ash / Some of my smoke creations I used in making this piece can be seen here Smoke and Mirrors and here Smoke Thistles / 50% Detail /

  • Another of my smoke creations used in the decisions we make / Detail / /

  • Sold to a mystery buyer in a large framed print / THANK YOU!

  • Another shot of Dingo Creek under Duff’s Bridge – the water was a beautiful aqua colour and oh so still with the occasional rattle of traffic on the old wooden bridge. Dingo Creek is located on the road from Wingham to Ellenborough Falls in NSW Australia – a recommended stop off along the way. /

  • Something different for me. I have recently been spending some time teaching myself the art of pattern creation with Illustrator and this is one of my favorites so far. see also Starflower and Fields / I’ve been thinking of writing a quick tutorial on the creation of this one as it is so simple. If anyone is interested drop me a comment or Bmail and I’m sure that will motivate me. Thanks for viewing. Update I have uploaded the tutorial and it can be found Here

  • Another pattern I created while teaching myself how best to use Illustrator to create seamless tiles. See also Reggtro and Starflower This one was used to figure out what I can and can’t get away with. / This one is also interesting because I was experimenting with using Illustrators symbols. / The advantage being that once I have my tile repeating using a symbol(s) all I need to do to update the pattern is update the symbol and the changes made will propagate throughout. You can set up a similar technique in Photoshop by using smart layers. /

  • This was an earlier version of Gumdrops that I wasn’t going to upload, but as it has been my desktop favorite for a few weeks now, I figured it deserved a chance out in the wild. Other patterns /

  • 18ct diamond set bracelet original /

  • This is the original cast of characters in a black and white version of my Catachresis pattern. / This shows just a little more than one tile. You can see a coloured version here Detail: /

  • When the going gets Duff, the Duff get going! This was shot in 2006, outside a stall at the Royal Melbourne Show. I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my work in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 18-125mm lens. F8, 1/250 sec, ISO 200, focal length 68mm. 7-5262
