Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. This image is one of my most popular wallpapers on my wallpaper website and I hope it will make me proud here also. You can find this image as a wallpaper on my wallpaper website

Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. Sold this a number of times pre-redbubble, mostly A3 size, and it won me a $1500 prize from the Brisbane City Council, as well the John Herbert medal at APSCON 2005, and also a number of other smaller prizes. This was sold december 2008 on redbubble as a matted print. A small English village, Hanley Swan in Worcestershire. It boasts a duckpond with a nesting platform. I was camping near there last summer and took a walk to this village. To my pleasant surprise I found this Heron, he was looking rather pleased with himself and in no mood to take flight …......... Copyright 2008 Richie Dean PhotoArtMaster and Adobe Photoshop

I met a fellow RedBubbler, Adam Mattel yesterday and we did a photo shoot together. It was a very enjoyable morning and a pleasure to meet a member that lives nearby. This is one the images captured along the Susquehanna river at Harrisburg, PA. This site was settled due to the founder Harris operating a ferry across the river.

There are some strange things going on in my head right now. I’ve no fucking idea where this pill-duck came from. I’m currently working with another guy, expect a change of direction.

There was a time once when I decided to take a break from the brush and do some illustrations. / This was the result of one such session.. “The Fat Duck Cafe”. I put the names of several famous old jazz clubs on his guitar case and even included one that is out of place but a few of you might know (The Gov and The Basement). - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - - - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - – - -

Sometimes all you can do is bravely seek the comfort of others! I have been working on this piece for the last few days and added the finishing touches this morning after I logged on to the Bubble and read dearest Fa’s AKA frozenfa recent journal entry. My thoughts were with Fa as I finished this piece and so I dedicate this piece of artwork to her! AVAILABLE AS: / Card, Matted Print, Laminated Print, Mounted Print, Canvas Print & Framed Print
If it looks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, we have at least to consider the possibility that we have a small aquatic bird of the family anatidae on our hands. / Douglas Adams Quote Wood Ducks / Wood Ducks —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- It took forever to finally get a closeup shot of him. He was so shy and kept flying across the lake. They were here at the city park during fall migration. They are not tame but truly wild ducks taking a quick break before traveling again. I was amazed to see them at the city lake were people walk all the time because of the fact they normally do not like to be near people. The only other times I have seen them is in more secluded areas and they always flew away before I was even close. I sat very still for over two hours and finally this wood duck drake swam close enough for me to get a great shot of him. I am so thankful for that wonderful day. / —-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—-—- / Let’s help keep our waterways clean and protected.
