Shot this back in November, 2004, when the grass was much greener, and there was water in the dam. There’s only been water in that dam one other time since then, and it lasted around 6 weeks….this is a nice reminder of what we used to have…. Sold this a number of times pre-redbubble, mostly A3 size, and it won me a $1500 prize from the Brisbane City Council, as well the John Herbert medal at APSCON 2005, and also a number of other smaller prizes. This was sold december 2008 on redbubble as a matted print. Peter Hill and I visited the Botanical Gardens in Sydney on Sunday for some photography. I wanted to show this path from….well, a ducks point of view when lo and behold who should just waddle straight through shot, Mr duck and friends. This one was bringing up the rear. Didn’t quite catch it in the line of focus but I quite like the way it blends in as it does. Trying out some new props … picked up the antique washtub on ebay and am very pleased with it. Also got some ‘bubbles’ and a big rubber duck!! I know its a bit of a cliche but I had to try it!! Milo made a grab for the bubbles and went mad throwing them all over the place, it was funny and frustrating!!!
