Boston Common is home for this family of Bronze ducklings and a very patient mother duck. The statue pays tribute to a well known children’s book “Make way for Ducklings”.

Took a trip to Bowman Bay State park yesterday and managed to capture several shots of these lovely ducks. Bowman Bay is a lvoely area to hike. You can go on several trails leading to some of the most beuaitful beaches. A must do! This was shot with my Nikon D80 with the 75-300mm and is straight from the camera as is. Edith

Cute little family of ducks in Arlington Park, Sarasota, FL This mother duck had just been attacked by a Moscovy Duck that is twice her size. The babies were running everywhere trying to hide. My hubby chased the Muscovy away from her and the little one came looking for her. Hubby said the Moscovy had one of these little babies in his bill when he first encountered the situation. I stopped at a neighborhood park today to take pics of some ducks. They all came running after me, it was hilarious. If they were on land they were hauling butt to get to me, some were in the man-made pond swimming as fast as they could. They wanted food, well I didn’t have any. I felt so bad as they stood quacking and looking up at me with such sad eyes. I promised them to bring food next time and I will. After my promise, they all turned and started to slowly walk away. I told them goodbye. They were so much fun :) Photo taken 7/24/08 in DeSoto, TX.
