Tobermory is a gorgeous little town on the northern tip of the Bruce Peninsula in Ontario. It’s harbor not only filled with luxury yachts but also with a lot of shipwrecks, which makes it a divers paradise. It’s part of the Fathom Five National Marine Park of Canada. Luckily for me you don’t have to dive to discover a few of the shipwrecks. Luckily because I spent to much time underwater once, without diving gear, and I’m not inclined to submerge myself for longer periods under water. ;) This beauty caught my eye when strolling along the shore, with the duck approaching, I had to hurry but I was just in time to capture it. Well, you may remember this little one from our backyard duck experience this year. He’s so cute I decided to go back and have another look, and came up with this rendition. I used a gradient brush background with lighting effects added to highlight the duck. I used the orton effect on the duck to make him soft. Everybody needs some lovin’, don’t they? Hope you like! She is a beautiful colourful thing which makes me think she is a he. Her feathers are so detailed and she has a lovely reflection following her around. And on top of all this it looks like she is swimming on a lake of mercury. This was taken in a local open space area near to where I live. It was in Whitewebbs Woods near Enfield, England Thanks for looking. Winter scene at the lake (mill pond) at Etherow Country Park,Compstall,near Stockport,Cheshire. The lake used to serve as a mill pond for the nearby Compstall cotton mill.

Today I went out for a walk with my Mam and Dad and we ended up at a local Lake called Longlands Lake, and it really is beautiful! I live about 5-10 minutes away, and have only been once before, but that was years ago, and I can’t remember it being so interesting! Apart from the ducks and the swans there were so many different flowers and plants. It’s an amazing place to go for photographs! Black and White version here
