  • Far From Home (A Catnip Story)
    by Damian

She relaxed and the man blew more powder into her face, inducing a drugged sleep. Her mouth sagged open to reveal savage fangs, and Snipe…

A Catnip story in Gayla Drummond ’s science fiction setting. Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 The Katarr and Drac aliens belong to Gayla. I came to the series a little late, but there was a spontanious challenge thrown down from the conversation between Gayla, Jo (JC), Lisa and Kate. Their Katarr stories are great :) Gayla’s A Little Nip Does the Trick / Jo’s A Little Nip Is The Trick / Kate’s Velvet Nights / Lisa’s The Windows to The Worlds Mine’s meant to be erotic, but isn’t. Damn.

My last “Share the Love” interview for AW Welcome Center Group, was with artist Jim Rownd. Now I bring you someone a little different. Gayla Drummon. www.redbubble.com Note from the Inerviewer: / I have given it MUCH thought as to whom to choose for this interview. Sense I picked a male in my last interview, I wanted to finish with a female. I wanted to pick someone who is a little different than most. Gayla Drummon is very creative in both her 3D visual and written works of art. For those who don’t know Gayla it is quite a ride to read one her novel stories. They are full of adventure and life! It is my pleasure to introduce to you the bottomless pit of story time, Gayla Drummond! I hope you will enjoy this interview as much as I have. / P.A.M Share the Love Interview with Gayla Drummon, by Patricia Anne McCarty Just 3 Questions: / 1- How does being a creative person and pursuing your creativity affect other aspects of your life? I didn’t really have much time for creative pursuits prior to 2000, so I guess I’ve been playing catch up since. I have phases: become totally caught up in writing or creating imagery, and man, let me tell you, nothing else gets done until I’m finished, lol. Fortunately, the rest of the family also has creative pursuits, so they’re pretty supportive when I go on one of my ten day writing rampages, nose to paper and pen in hand. =) I think my writing, especially, makes me look at things differently. Perhaps, pay more attention to commonplace stuff and think how I could put a different spin on it. 2- Tell us about one person or moment that has made your time on redbubble particularly special or meaningful. I’m going to have to go with Damian www.redbubble.com on this one, because he sent me an invite to the Short Stories group after I’d posted a few things on here. That was a sort of turning point; I found a whole bunch of people, like him and Kate, who liked creating imaginary worlds and were ready to hand out support and constructive crits. That got my butt in gear, and I started self-publishing, which is working out rather well for me. =) 3- Show and tell us about five works on redbubble that have moved or inspired you. 1.”Its later than you relise” / by SLY1 www.redbubble.com / You could say this one’s sort of how I see my Wolven, so I keep it in mind when I’m working on Shadow Connor stories. Just smaller ears and a tail need to be changed/added, lol. 2. “Witchtrot Rd.” / by klezedawg / www.redbubble.com / This one’s just deliciously spooky looking, and I likes me some spooky. 3. “The Wizard’s Lair” / by frogster / www,redbubble.com / Just a fantastic place to see and dream about. Perfect for staring at while taking a flight of fancy. 4 “I only have eyes for you…” / by Paul Rees-Jones www.redbubble.com / Paul both grossed me out and made me laugh uproariously with this short tale. ~5 “Remnants” / by jcmontgomery www.redbubble.com / Really, anything that JC writes tends to move me. She’s definitely got the touch for bringing emotions to the surface.

  • Teachs' Sword
    by anaisnais

Look at my face, - / see scars of Demelt. / Enormous black beard / woven and lit by matches; / staring back at you. Feared of reputation,...

Having been asked if i could personify the sword of a pirate as a challenge by a friend, this is what I came up with. I wanted the reader to see Black Beard through the sword,- so to speak. I hope younger and older readers alike might gain easy and fun history lesson through this write.
