Detective Nit (Blue Man) and his partner Meps (Mechanical Employee of Police Squad) have tracked down the evil assassin robot Pique and her assistant, one of the ambiguous Grey Men, and foiled their bomb plot, thanks in part to Meps alert identification of Pique from an earlier encounter . In moments they will be in custody, but at the cost of Detective Nit’s ride… well, he always hated that car. / (No robots were injured in the making of this film)

I have posted this photo of drummer Paul Motian previously on the Musical Art and We Rock Musical Instrument Art groups, but the advent of the ‘Jazzed Up Art’ group prompts me to make this my first offering to this great new group led by jjkimball and martinilogic. I took the photo on November 22 1986 at the Leeds Trades Club where Leeds jazz, a local bunch of jazz fan promoters put on their concerts for the first five years of their existence. As I write this, Leeds Jazz are still in the jazz promotion business and will celebrate their 25th anniversay in October this year. All this from a group of people with day jobs and who do this for the love of jazz and no income. / Paul Motian was part of a trio which included Bill Frisell (guitar) Joe Lovano (tenor) and himself on drums. / This was still in the days of film and I shot all my photos by available light on Ilford HP5 film, usually pushed to 1600 and even 3600 ASA with my Contax 139 camera, and Tamron 90mm lens. hand held. It all added up to quite grainy images printed up as 10×8 inch prints. I am indebted to mmargot for the title of this photo.

This boy was at Agra Train Station one morning. It was a short rickshaw ride from Taj Mahal and lots of tourists came through here.The boy had a little piece of tin and a stick and was banging it around to make music. We gave him some money for being a great performer and then took his picture. He had his face painted by his mother to enhance his performance. See more of my India Series here
