  • This is one of my own personal mandalas, created on board in gouache and coloured pencil, with metallic overlays. The four quadrants symbolise the passing of the seasons and of my life. The angel represents my heart; the dragon my courage; the unicorn my passion/creativity; the castle my soul. The four phases of the moon are in the vine and leaf border. The 5 pointed star at the heart of this mandala symbolises my connection with the spiritual and the divine.

  • This image has been up before but due to request i have now increased its size. Hecate is most commonly known as the goddess of witchcraft, but she also has many other symbols and meaning and her history dates back to Turkey before being addopted by the Greeks. Hecate is always seen carrying a lamp or touch as she is linked to seeing the dead into Haydes, and its this link with the lost that links her with cross-roads. She is also linked with all things that come out at night but only the wolf is portrayed with her at all times, but owls, wild boar, bats, snakes, pumpkins and black dogs can also be linked to her.

  • My four year old thought he was pretty lucky when he found this beauty! Apparently the belief that a four leaf clover is lucky dates back as far as around 200BC when the Druids regarded it as sacred due to it’s extreme rarity. / My personal belief is that the Druids were onto something….. all of nature is sacred. • ORIGINAL FOR SALE $650 plus P&H OK – the story goes - I desperately wanted to paint a new mandala (the one I’m doing right now) but I had two canvasses sitting there blank. So I told myself I had to finish both of them before I could start on the big medicine wheel mandala… And next thing I know, there are two celtic crosses emerging in tandem from the canvas, with seals and otters playing in the mandala centre. The circle contains and is undending, the cross both reaches out and marks a specific, finite point at the centre. With mine, the circles represent the moon and the cross, the sun. The cross reaches out to the four directions, the four corners of the earth. The vertical and the horizontal come together in the joining of forces – Heaven and Earth… The otters symbolise the connection with the feminine and an unconventional and quirky mind. Brilliant imagination, intelligence, perception and intuition also run with this gorgeous animal. PLAY! In acrylic on canvas with jewelled and metallic overlays… The original is for sale. Please note full copyright applies. This image is not public domain.

  • ORIGINAL $2,800 plus postage and handling OK – I will try to keep this brief, but there will end up being a journal entry about dreaming sometime! LOL! Short version? Rolled over in bed one morning, yawned, opened my eyes and there standing at the side of my bed is this beautiful medicine woman with a wolf. “Paint this”, she said and the image was there in my mind. I was still working on the otters and seals celtic crosses and so had to finish them off. While I was doing that, the original vision morphed into the one you see before you. This mandala painted itself. The big powerful ones do. There is so much power in this painting that when I finished it and sat back to look at it, I cried. They were tears of gratitude and thanks. This is my gift to all for the New Year… Thank You Great Spirit for the gift that runs through me. Thank You for the joy it brings, for the power it bestows, for the healing… Thank You. I am blessed beyond all imagining. / Thank You. I am grateful for every breath I take, for all that I am, for all that I have. / I Thank You… From the campfire burning in the centre… / The four medicine women stand in the four directions. East with Eagle, South with Coyote, West with Bear, North with Buffalo. The hand prints to each side have the animals paw/talon prints overlaid – we are all one! Beneath each are the symbols I saw – Golden Door to the East, Talking Stick to the South, Drum to the West, Sacred Pipe to the North. The moons in their phases… / The Red Road encircling… The arrows leading out to golden bows… The Blue Road encompassing it all… The original is one metre square canvas gallery wrap, acrylic with metallic overlay.

  • ORIGINAL FOR SALE $400 plus P&H This mandala, in acrylic with metallic overlays, is a combination celtic/native american theme based around “Grace”. After Printz passed away quietly last week, I had a lot of empty time in my head and my home in which to quietly mourn his passing. But there was a lot to celebrate too – to give “grace” for… AMAZING GRACE The legend has it that Little Swan flew through the Dreamtime looking for the entry point to the future in her first flight alone. “As Swan looked high above Sacred Mountain, she saw the biggest swirling black hole she had ever seen. Dragonfly came flying by and Sawan stopped him to ask about the black hole. Dragonfly said, “Swan, that is the doorway to the other planes of imagination. I have been guardian of illusion for many, many moons. If you want to enter there, you would have to ask permission and earn the right.” And when she asked what she had to do to earn entry, Dragonfly replied, “You must be willing to accept whatever the future holds as it is presented, without trying to change Great Spirits plans.”“ (reproduced in part from : Medicine Cards, The Discovery of Power through the Ways of Animals, Jamie Sams and David Carson) The ‘medicine’ of this mandala is about SURRENDERING to the flow and TRUSTING what we are shown… through our healing and our acceptance of the state of grace, we earn the right to enter the Dreamtime. / Full Copyright applies

  • A mystical and magical creature said to build its nest in the mountains and line it with gold and attributed as an attribute of understanding the relationship between psychic energy and cosmic force, as well as being the guardian to the pathway to spiritual enlightenment. This solar hybrid creature, combines the head, claws and wings of an eagle with the body of a lion, symbolizing rulership of air and land and together making a double emblem of the Sun’s power and usually shown next to a ‘tree of life’ or similar symbol as the guardian of the sun and seasons. / The Griffin has been a forceful motif since the second millineum BCE in western Asia, later in the Middle East, Greece and eventually Europe. It was a Hebrew symbol of Persia, had demonic significance in Assyria, but seems in Crete to have played a protective role in palace decoration. In Greece, where the griffin was sacred to Apollo, to Athene as wisdom and to Nemesis as retribution, legend said they guarded the gold of India and of the Scythians. In early Christianity iconography the griffin was used to symbolize the forces of persecution, vengeance or hindrance. But from the 14th century it emerges as an emblem of the dual nature of Christ – human and divine – and of courageous vigilance, which was its usual meaning in heraldry.

  • O, Powerful Woman of Magic, / From another time, but not another place. / You walked these lands, / The Wind whispered its secrets to you… And, when it storms, you can still be felt. All my own photos and textures used to create this scene from another time but, as I’ve said above, not another place. And, it’s been Ortonized to give it a moody, dreamy, otherworldly feel. There is magic in this land of my adoptive country, and if you open yourself to it, you can still feel the power of ancient times. / / FEATURED in Textures Unlimited and About Time
