A very old analouge negative taken on Boxing Day some twenty odd years ago. This girl was living with my younger sister in Darlinghurst in Sydney at the time and yes there were drugs involved. Neither of them survived the experience. All I have left is some very old photo’s and my memories. To death us do drug. Was that a challenge, a motto or a promise. I could never work it out.

What do you get when you put my bullet belt, my shecter, me in cheetah stilettos and fishnet and a 10 second timer? you get this motha licker / (haha, old gregg reference) like the common “sex, drugs, and rock ‘n roll” motto, i’ve put my interpritation on it. sex (the fishnets and stilettos) drugs (bullet belt) rock n’ roll (guitar) / now for the whole drugs thing, its a common thing among rock stars to be druggies or alcoholics, and the music scene i’m most into is the punk/ska scene, with one of the trademarks being the bullet belt (and my zebra guitar strap fits in nicely with it)

My art is based on everything I see around me. This is from the idea that eyes are the windows of the soul. A2 on cartridge papar with a G-Tec C4 0.4 pen. Can be viewed any way up it is up to you.

Hand drawn A2 image on cartridge paper with a G-Tec C4 0.4 pen probably took about a year to do, but I don’t pay attention to the time or the drawing until it is nearly complete. Just been looking to buy some more pens and found out the drawn line is only 0.2mm! Featured in Works on Paper winner of the Patterns challenge in Finks in Ink

Well this is completely fucking weird and random and doesn’t make any sense. And it was taken exactly a year ago… and edited tonight. I have better photos from recent shoots to edit. But the last 24 hours I’ve been in a bizarre and insane head space.. no better way to take it out then to say I feel like this photo. It reminds me of David Lynch and drug movies (fear and loathing in las vegas). I will upload more stuff from my recent shoots. STUCK in a HARD PLACE!! CHINA TODAY Today the newspaper triggers my creative thought process and the word is STUCK Yesterday ,as I travelled to Apollo Bay, the word was RAPE strange what you see in that complex network of powerpoles, kilometre after kilometre. HERE YOU and I are also reponsible for this disgraceful behaviour. split values in society! Men MUST be responsible and so MUST women. No use crying “WOLF” after the event. Both women and men MUST protect themselves. Lives changed by foolish decisions. behaviour in society/on the streets which is NOT acceptable. BRUMBY GOVT. allowing MORE party drinking venues in our CITY CENTRE of MELBOURNE. NOT enough police on our streets TELEVISION serving up a pile of RUBBISH ….I see suggested RAPE scenes/SEX on MELBOURNE TV. A warning to the viewer does NOT mean it is ok for US to be served out this RUBBISH/ CERTAIN types of REALITY TV have helped pave the way for this behaviour in our homes/schools/streets/etc…..... / MUSIC:I have listened to music which actually suggests sex/sleeping around….......DRUGS and ALCOHOL RADIO: YOU are also responsible NEWSPAPERS/MAGAZINES: YOU are also responsible. HOTELS YOU are also responsible CASINOS: YOU also are responsible FOOTBALL CLUBS: YOU are also responsible. My take on a song thats currently haunting me – Regina Spekter’s “Genius Next Door”. Her lyrics are often enigmatic, apparently she prefers for the listener to use their imagination regarding the topic rather than giving it all away.
