A rather old Scale, nice for a doctors office, or anyone that deals with drugs.
Old pharmaceuticals in a drugstore museum in the States. Mind blowing what they used to promote as cures in those days gone by.
The graffiti on trees present viewers with a wide array of imagery. The imagery on this tree is a collective form of art that offers visual etchings of people, animals, characters and more. The central image of this tree looks like a profile of a cartoon-like character who has “blown his stack” as revealed by his hat detached from his head. The texture and details are a collective form of art from anonomous people who enjoy tagging their visual messages. Although I see many images within the body of the main figure and outside his frame, I took the photograph based on the image of this amusing character. Often when I see graphics and other art forms, I associate to music, our universal language and the poetic lyrics conveyed in the songs. When I saw the flame at the end of this characters outstretched arm, I thought of the legendary Jim Morrison, an inspirational / and brilliant musician who tragically died young from a heart attack after years of abusing drugs. Drugs are reflected in his classic song, “Light My Fire” that became the signature song of his group released on their first album that launched them to stardom. / Morrison was the lead singer and his songs were often played in the background of the cultural revolution in the 60’s when I was an undergraduate in college. His powerful music and vocals were rock classics that have been enjoyed by many generations after his tragic death. Most of the lyrics were written by Doors guitarist Robbie Krieger. He wanted to write about one of the elements: fire, air, earth, and water. Before this song was released, The Doors were an underground band popular in Los Angeles. This song got the attention of a mass audience. Jim Morrison studied film and poetry at the University of California where I was fortunate to attend his concerts on campus as an undergraduate student. You know that it would be untrue / You know that I would be a liar / If I was to say to you / Girl, we couldn’t get much higher Come on baby, light my fire / Come on baby, light my fire / Try to set the night on fire The time to hesitate is through / No time to wallow in the mire / Try now we can only lose / And our love become a funeral pyre Come on baby, light my fire / Come on baby, light my fire / Try to set the night on fire, yeah The time to hesitate is through / No time to wallow in the mire / Try now we can only lose / And our love become a funeral pyre Come on baby, light my fire / Come on baby, light my fire / Try to set the night on fire, yeah You know that it would be untrue / You know that I would be a liar / If I was to say to you / Girl, we couldn’t get much higher Come on baby, light my fire / Come on baby, light my fire / Try to set the night on fire / Try to set the night on fire / Try to set the night on fire / Try to set the night on fire

Addicted to opium in the womb, Ja Te had a tough start. His mother blew smoke in his face when he cried. In his twenties, he works for people in his Thai border village, for a smidgen of opium and a few rice meals. Lying in his favourite position, curled by his pork-fat lamp, he takes a break between scores of pipes. Kodachrome slide film, Nikon FM2, taken in 1979.
A Blue Hmong opium addict babysits her grandchildren while their parents work their fields. The sad reality of life in the northern Thai mountains when hilltribes like the Hmong cultivated opium poppy was that many elders, both men and women, became addicts. Often they started by using the drug to relieve pain, as it was effective and the only option in remote villages. As long as the families grew poppy the elderly addicts were a supportable burden. Unlike in the west, the addicts were not ostracised, and often maintained positions of respect within their communities.
I listened, / Spellbound, / Fixed to the sound, / As if pinned to the wall, / Unable to move, / Drugged, / Those 6 notes…. / Harmony.
Self-portrait I Need You Like a Drug, They Eat Their Own: “I don’t buy / Your true life stories / ‘Cause I’ve seen / The way you lie / But I don’t mind / The things you tell me / Because I know / We’ll say anything to get by But when we’re together / Somehow I feel better / My disease always tricks me / I believe you can fix me You’re insane / I love the drama / Tell the truth / You love it too I know you / Reason strikes / We fight and break up / ‘Cause it seems / The easiest thing to do But when I don’t get your call / I go into withdrawal / You consume every thought / But if you called me I would tell you to fuck off I need you / I need you like a drug It turns me on / To say I love you / But deep inside / I know it’s lust not love at all / One day we / Will leave each other / But we pretend / The end’s not inevitable I require protection / From my own obsession / In the object of you / One day I will rise above you I need you / I need you like a drug Until then / We’ll stay together / I guess things could be much worse / One day things will be much better / But I don’t really want to write another verse ‘Cause when we’re together / Somehow I feel better / My disease always tricks me / I believe you can fix me I need you / I need you like a drug”
The Woodstock Music Festival was billed as an Aquarian exposition. A defining moment in rock & roll history that many will never forget, taking place on 3 days in 1969. Memorialize the moment with an original artistic Tee celebrating the Woodstock event with a dove & peace symbol.

She`d have Balls / digital art
An early prototype version of an anti drug poster, this also features the same actress, Jessilyn. She wasn’t even upset that I did these terrible things to her face using ‘digital destroy and disaster’ techniques. / The poster wasn’t accepted at the time but I still feel it’s relevant to some of the people whose lives can be ruined by drug misuse. Particularly in some of the crowded cities around the world.
