Thousands of raindrops, glistening like jewels, cling to a Geraldton Wax tree.
This is an amazing waterfall up near Arthur’s Pass on the south island of New Zealand. It was absolutely bucketting down with rain at this stage and my friend was kindly holding the umbrella over me and the camera…. it didn’t stop all the raindrops though. I really liked the immensity of this and the lush green with so much water.

This is … well, it’s definitely inspired by the work of several persons on here, and elsewhere, and because I ran into some glass rain drops for sale as tree decorations that reminded me of some rain clouds that are on a piece I have favorited, and .. my allergies to dust and such that make for strange dreams, and my son who loves black and white artistry, and looking at too many sites with party supplies, and … and it’s all jumbled up, on this “canvas”... It’s as done as it’s getting, but I’m not really sure what to think of it, just now. I have another saved version, from as I was in the process of creating this one, which I may take off in a new, but complimentary direction, later. And, for the record, as some people seem to have a different definition, when I say inspired, I mean INSPIRED, not stolen or copied or faked, but where it makes you go “Ooh!” and begin to create things for yourself. Sometimes they are similar in look, sometimes similar in theme, and sometimes so wildly divergent that no one would get how or why you were inspired by the first thing to create the second. If you have some other definition of inspired, that’s fine, so long as you keep mine in mind when reading into what I say!
Reminds me of a science fiction movie about alien invaders especially the 2 observation globes containing images of trees.
Taken in Nova Scotia, after an overnight rain
Ok here you go do you see the palm tree?? the drop of waterlooks like it is molten nothing was done to the photo the phot is as is, using a x10 high definition macro lens made for this one to look as such…..
These lakes are on the Milford Road – the road on the way to Milford sound. They are aptly named as the reflections really are mirror perfect (except when the ducks swim across the lake). There had been very recent snow and I was quite taken by the reflections of the snow capped hills.
Photo of frozen drops of water hanging from a tree branch.
I love the reflection of the pine trees that Ive captured in the raindrop which is hanging from the tip of a pinetree branch. The brown of the dead pinetree needles laying on the ground in the blurred back ground adds warmth to this photo. / Canon Powershot S3 IS, Manual mode, Super Macro.

What happened? / Why did she drop her shoes, why is her scarf hanging in a tree… or maybe it was someone else who did it.. / what happened…
gum tree flowers turn into a kaliedoscope using a fab technique I just learned from ‘Make’ magazine!
Rain caught in the spruce needles.
Sporadic shots of nature at it’s best and beautiful :O)
I arrived here at Beus Pond in Ogden, Utah after an early morning storm that had left snow in the mountains but made the pond a bit slushy and wet. The storm was clearing and the reflections from the sky and you can see a few drops of rain falling from the branches still
